A photograph. Encapsulation of spirit. No. That would mean restriction of the entirety of the being and that can’t be boxed in; otherwise, it’s roots and tendrils would feel their way among the sides and into the corners furthering their expansion outward. Can you feel it? The presence or energy surging out from the cracks between the screen in your hand? This flora and fauna can’t be contained. Best let it surge forth. taken in Atlanta, Georgia by @strayaways

It’s quite a surge to find oneself conquering the elements and letting the mountains guide you to a plane of physical combat. You must respect the mountain yet don your tools for the trials that lie ahead. We sharpen our blades upon the snow & ice that blanket these playgrounds.

Constantly expanding the vocabulary of media with that which I find myself completely immersed in. Movement is medicine and capturing friends in the midst of that magic pushes me into spaces of inspiration. Never a dull day with these folk; grateful for every second. taken in Created Butte by @strayaways

It’s quite something to become lost in the expanse while occupying the liminal space between past & present. I feel my mind stretch on while finger tips dance over the blades of grass at my sides. Time bleeds into the background where thought meets crashing waves & introspection tangles with monstrous flora. One day I too shall become the water rushing through your grasp and the wind lifting you up. taken in Kona, Hawaii by @strayaways

By the torrent of flame & cinder, warmth and burning epiphany come to fruition. Mesmerized by the dance of the flares, we each find ourselves diving deeper into our own souls. And with that doorway open, the flame finds itself in. Dancing on smoldering tips it flickers its way into the dark corners of our hearts and mind burning away all the nettles & thorns bleeding us; cauterizing these inner wounds to scar. And we find ourselves grateful to be blackened by the ash of the great flame. For we now carry a small piece of that great force within us now. We too are purified. Boundless gratitude to @bespoke.house.portal for having me be part of such a cosmic experience and capture media in such a sacred container. ❤️‍🔥 taken in Alchemy: The Georgia Burn by @strayaways

Once again and always, @defineeverythingfuture sets the bar for how an underground show experience should be put on proper. Legendary night shaking the roadways & junctions in the guts of the city beneath. First time back in 2 years to capture one of their shows and we went massive with it. No one does it better. A raging tempest of flower & thorn engulfs all that wanders through the lost woods with malice in their heart and destruction in their eyes. One must walk with feathered steps and a still soul to make their way to the heart of the hearth at the center. To hold the flame, is another story entirely. Are you willing to burn away all that binds you to your old container? Do you have the iron spine to let all your former frame melt away? Let us witness this rite of uprisal. taken in Dahlonega, Georgia by @strayaways

MAKE ART.

Amsterdam was a visceral playground that invited hastening steps around every corner & bend in search of what was to be desired. The paint crept up from the street itself fastening itself to any surface organic or inorganic; I felt it seep up through the shoes and into the very soul of the people residing here. The graffiti & color mirrored in iris’s of every one walking past as if lost in a trance. Broken windows, but full of so much color. What it means to be human I suppose. With love ❤️. taken in Straat by @strayaways

What can I say about Bali? If the all encompassing, wildly ancient nature & divine level of artistry existing in every temple corner wasn’t tugging at the heart strings, then the Balinese people who call this place home will surely pluck them all. Every other moment I’m met with soft eyes, a smile, & a gentle bow. And before my lips can even usher words I’m approached with questions of how are you? Where are you from? Are you enjoying your time here? No where else have I experienced such welcoming energy on all levels. The respect & reverence that is held here among one another, strangers, art, culture, & nature is one which won’t be easily forgotten. Each day is a day to count the many blessings in this life. Thank you for reminding me so. taken in Bali, Indonesia by @strayaways
