Cameron Ultra 2025 | 18-20 July 2025

Trail legs still work! It felt so good to be back on the trails at one of my favourite trail running events in Malaysia.. and it’s even better than I remembered. Being back reminded me why I fell in love with trail running in the first place: the runner's grit, the stunning views along the trail, the tough but thrilling terrain, and the amazing trail running community.

Glad to know that my confidence in running technical descents is still intact. Must be muscle memory doing its thing! 😄

Totally didn’t expect to finish 3rd in the 14km Women’s Veteran category, especially after squeezing in just one trail run the week before. Been caught up training and racing on water lately.. but I guess the trail spirit never really left.

And honestly, there’s no better push than knowing my kids are waiting at the finish line… cheering with their tiny voices shouting, ‘Go Mommy!’.. and probably followed by, ‘Can we eat now?’ or 'Can we go home now?' Instant speed boost! 😅

Also, thank you, Dada @jericholoe, for being the push and the support I needed on my hard days. Your drive is contagious. Huge congrats on your Ultra comeback. I'm so proud to see you back on the grind! 💪😘 by @straycatph

12th Isang Bangkang Malaya | 29 June 2025

A little late, but this one definitely deserves a spot on the feed!

My third consecutive race last June, and still keeping the streak alive! 💪
This one hit differently—it was our first-ever race as Alpas Pinas, with an all-Pinoy crew, proudly representing at @filipinodragons.sg's Isang Bangkang Malaya in Singapore. 🇵🇭🇸🇬

I had envisioned this would be our first race as Alpas—the timing felt right, the cause was meaningful (celebrating Philippine Independence through dragon boat racing), and the organizers, FDS, fellow Pinoy paddlers based in Singapore, made it all the more special.

We came just to show up, support, and connect with the Pinoy dragon boat community abroad—but to win our heat and go straight to finals? That was a wild, happy surprise. 🙌

Grateful to our friends in Malaysia and Singapore who came all the way to the race site just to cheer us on.

Big thanks to FDS for the warm welcome and for letting us be part of such an amazing event.

To Ms. Elaine—thank you for answering every single inquiry (salamat for the patience!).
To Kap Tian @pogsregos, for steering us steadily and safely.
And most especially to Kap Irish @irishlomtong & Kap Joy @joyvasquez21, for guiding us through water testing and for the words of wisdom during race—tagos sa puso yung mga sinabi ninyo. ❤️

40th Melaka Dragon Boat Festival | 21-22 June 2025

Late post, but one for the books! Probably the most intense race weekend yet. Proud of our team @roguemalayadbt for pushing through and making it to the semifinals in every 200m category on day 2 of the event: open, women, and mixed.
