Sweetie - Sweet Beats Vol. 1 (ST002)
Out now for streaming and download. LINK IN BIO!

For the first release on STRAY TAPES, @sweemu6 re-homes eight scruffy cuts of laid-back instrumental hip-hop. Relatively docile, and infused with funk and soul, these adorable beats have found a kind home where they can live out the rest of their days. 😸

Asvajit - Derivative Work (ST003)
Out now for streaming and download. Link in bio.

'Derivative Work' is a 10-track studio album by STRAY TAPES co-founder @asvajit, drawing from a diverse range of musical influences spanning dub, jazz, funk, 90s and early-2000s hip hop, downtempo break-beats, and more. Written during the COVID-19 lock-downs and the 2022 Sri Lankan economic crisis, the album emerged from a period of uncertainty, serving as an artifact of musical and personal exploration during a transitional time.
