More than 15 Escondido Street Stewards braved the morning heat during our “Second Saturday” cleanup on August 8. The group picked up litter along both sides of W. Mission Rd (from Nordahl to Enterprise).

A total of 20 Escondido Street Stewards, including three kids, coordinated with residents in the South Tulip neighborhood on Saturday, July 11 to help tidy its streets. The walking portion of the cleanup started near the corner of 10th Ave. and Tulip St. and included a few of the alleys throughout the neighborhood.

Escondido through its Neighborhood Services Division’s Neighborhood Cleanup program had dumpsters at the meeting site, making it easy to dispose of the bags collected.

Thank you to everyone who volunteered as this now marks multiple years helping out in the South Tulip neighborhood.

Our June “Second Saturday” group cleanup on June 13 partnered with Interfaith Community Services (ICS) and their volunteers to clean up around their Quince/Washington Ave location. More than 20 volunteers participated in the morning cleanup.

A huge thank you to every volunteer who joined us, which included Street Stewards’ captains from Poway and Santee, and for helping keep this Escondido space clean for the community.

The Escondido Street Stewards met for our Second Saturday event on March 14 at the Escondido Promenade on Auto Park Way, then tackled both sides of West Valley Parkway, between West Ninth Ave. and La Terraza Blvd.
