Don't take it at face value. Part two: the paperwork.

"It's my car." The registration says Jane. He's Kevin. "Just bought it." From a guy. No name. Lives at the address but can't tell you the street. The VIN on the card doesn't match the dash.

Borrowing a car isn't a crime, and one of these alone isn't probable cause. Stacked up and written down, they're the facts you can articulate.
