POSTS STORIES REELS

FROM CAPE TOWN WITH LOVE

16 JUN 26

Dani,

Peace to you and all your sons, birthed, adopted, claimed and otherwise.

I am back in DC and was finding my thoughts scattered. Misdirected anger at first but I realized it was grief. I should be used to this, having two homes. My parents split when I was six and I spent life shuffling between different rules and homes, weekly. You get used to places then it’s back to a new space.

I asked my friend Bones to give me some of her pictures as postcards to help me show the world my second home.

Farewell.

FROM CAPE TOWN WITH LOVE

Yates,

Peace “my bru”, from Cape Town. My challenge here is to grow roots. Much like anywhere I find myself in life.

Have you ever reached for a dream only to see the end (or beginning) ahead?

Do you move faster, or ask if you ran the right race?

FROM CAPE TOWN WITH LOVE

24 MAR 26

Jan,

Peace to you and on your family.

My mornings in Cape Town are deliberate and slow by design. I’m grateful.

I’ve been exposing myself to the icy Atlantic waters. The thing about exposure is that it’s a mental game, I see.

In 2024 the water used to take my breath away. Nowadays it feels almost warm and the only things taking my breath are the views and night sky.

Farewell,

Practices help connect us to ourselves and the world outside. What’s your practice? #postcards #terminator by @streezusplease

It’s the thing you reach for in the in-between.
After the tears. Before the phone call.

It’s care in a small tin. A pause you carry in your pocket.

Because some days, healing starts at the surface.

Some places don’t demand your attention, they earn it.

Out here, stillness speaks, and the noise falls away.

What’s left is clarity. And the need to write it down.
