MARTYRS NEVER DIE. what is remembered lives.
Kriah (tearing) is an ancient and powerful Jewish grief technology. Mourners tear their clothes as a physical representation of being torn. One way of looking at it is the Kriah signifies that it is only the outer garment (representing the body) that has been torn. The soul of the deceased, and the love that the deceased and the mourners have for each other, remains, and may even grow stronger over time.

Grateful for the space to perform this ritual publicly (during the 21 days of grief, no less). @c.u.next.tuesdayz has created an amazing event and environment for trans artists. Thank you infinitely @its.misterrr and @kalonji.moschino. Thank you @mothertongue.cafebar for having us. Thank you to everyone who bore witness.
And thank you to @shanandtheclams for making this beautiful song
Shoutout to whoever broke a glass at the beginning with impeccable timing ✨ by @streganono4sinners
