2025 Maryland 4A State Champions Back to Back State Champs. 64-1 record since 2021. I have had the honor to coach in 10 State Championships and have 6 rings. 2007, 2018, 2021, 2022, 2024 and 2025. Quince Orchard community, administrators, parents, AD, trainers and support staff are second to none. The coaching staff are amongst some of the best in football. A core group that has been together for over 10 years. A brotherhood that id go to war with over and over again, lead by Head Coach John Kelley. This team overcame adversity, set backs and a tough schedule. They always found a way to win every week. I have been fortunate to coach some great players over the last 18 years. I’m not going to debate greatness. Greatness is the expectation. Tradition doesn’t graduate. We play for those that came before and set the standard for those that follow. This 2025 DLINE group, collectively, were relentless and tenacious. Great DLINE Senior leadership by @kaceygilliam_ and @_.diegorod along with junior @lul_jb.8 set the standard for what is expected in the trenches here at QO. #blessed #doyourjob #yourgapisyourgap #dieinyourgap #leveragetheball by @strengthdesign

Rip Big Rodney ! I posted this picture on my story yesterday when I found out Rodney was back in the hospital. Rodney passed this morning. Three men in this picture are gone from this earth, Keith, Trend and now Rodney. You never forget those that stood by you as brothers. You stood up for them. We had each others back. If they had something , I had something. What I had, was theirs as well. Time doesn’t change that, loyalty is for life. I called, they came ! They came to my house, my grandmother cooked for them like they were her own boys. They called my mom, mom, just like I did. It’s a special bond that maybe others never have experienced. That I don’t know. I do know that it was always the same when we saw each other or needed each other. Family isn’t always by blood or birth. Family comes from mutual respect and love. We are family and family is loyal for life. I hope there is a towel for you to put on your shoulder or in your back pocket in heaven and no chicken on the box either. RIP Big Man. Love you kid ! taken in Ocean City Beach by @strengthdesign

Passing on some knowledge from my grandfather. My grandfather had played soccer very competitively as a young man. He taught me how to play and we shared the passion of the sport together. One of the first times I heard my grandfather say this to me, ( finche c e vita c e speranza ) i was 11yo. I had been excited to tell him that my soccer team had won a championship game. We had been trailing the entire game and won in the final seconds with a penalty kick and I made the winning goal. It was exciting because normally I played defense and never had many opportunities to score. The main reason for my excitement to tell him was I remember that my grandfather always told me to never give up hope, that game I remember playing while hearing his voice echoing in my head. I always questioned the full meaning of what it meant in Italian, then as I got older I understood why I had heard it said as encouragement. As long as there is life, there is hope ! I thought about it again Coaching In 2007. 4A Football State Championship game we had trailed until a little over 7 minutes left to go in the game and we came back to win. Life, just like sports, will be met with adversity and challenges but as long as you have life there is hope. by @strengthdesign
