"My no. 20 forever"

You were more than red on the shirt,
More than the name on the back.
You were my finisher when I dreamed,
And my fire when I lacked.

They cheered you at Anfield,
I cheered you on my screen.
In EA nights and FIFA lights,
You made the small wins clean.

Not just a baller with boots on grass,
But a master with pad in hand.
You showed us that passion crosses fields
From the pitch to the console stand.

When Nunez fell in my 4‑1-2-1-2
I called on you like I always do.
And you, my Jota, answered true
Scored the winner, and then you flew.

Now the world is cold, too quiet, too slow,
Since you left down that road I’ll never know.
They say legends live in hearts, not flesh
Then why’s mine broken, why this breath?

I won't forget your near-post darts,
Or how you danced past fate.
You taught me goals aren’t just scored
They’re created, timed, and great.

So rest, my striker, on greener fields,
Where nets are gold and never yield.
And when I play again, you’ll be
The number 20 inside of me.

You scored more than goals, Jota...
You scored memories.
Rest well, Red.
