Lightness is not weightlessness.

It’s carrying what weighs on you without letting it stop your movement.
@morriarchi and @pertrelli Purple took almost five years to shape "Light on My Feet": a record of half-lit streets, long train journeys, blurred edges and grooves built to outlast fast-food release cycles.

Music made at its own pace, away from trends and the exhausting need to please everyone.

We spoke about unlearning grime, making space for emotion, building albums instead of playlists, independent music, and why The Bourne Identity might explain the whole thing.

Light, but vital.

Straight outta Brooklyn, Embedded Music captured the raw sound of New York’s early-2000s underground.

Founded by DJ Ese @chefstress and DJ Hipsta, the label connected mixtape culture with a singular roster of outsiders: @coolcalmpete Junk Science @snafujunksci , Babbletron, Loer Velocity @its_loer , Bisc 1, Iller Than Theirs, LoDeck and more.

Streetwear isn't dead.
It's quietly reinventing the very thing that made it desirable. As the aesthetics of streetwear got absorbed into mainstream culture, the hype economy cracked.

Back in 2023, we dropped a piece on streetwear and luxury's love story.
In 2026, luxury seems to be tapping out, but the street visionaries are stronger for it.

Narrative over hype. Scene loyalty over manufactured scarcity.

Pyrex (for the measurements) & Ferragamo (for the rain). The mix title says everything about the early Griselda Records x Fashion Rebels ethos.

Compiled in 2015, this mix celebrates the slang, imagery, the fashion-meets-art persona that Alvin WSG Worthy created. All mainstream now, all Buffalo first.

Griselda's since scattered into its own economy. Conway solo, Benny with his own imprint, Daringer touring with Action Bronson. Still the sound everyone's imitating.

I Diari di Compiobbi is everyday life, observed without exaggeration. @ffiumee doesn't dramatise; he registers. Eight tracks about time passing, relationships, and the places where people end up.

This 2026 record was produced by @pupatee , mastered by @originaledjherrera.

Last copies of the limited edition 10” dubplate available on Bandcamp. Rumours are that the trio is working on part two, so stay tuned.
