🕊️It’s been a year without my mom..nothing is the same. Nothing ever will be. She used to call me three or four times a day and I still have moments where my brain says, my mom hasn’t called me today…and then reality hits. The pain comes right back like it just happened. I miss her so much and I think about her every single day. There are things I still need to tell her, things only she would understand and this hole in my heart will never be filled.

But then there are days when I smile at her picture or laugh at something and say, my mom would have loved that or my mom would have said this or that. And even in those moments when I think about her and smile, there’s that inner sadness that lingers. But…one things for sure..she’s exactly where she always wanted to be, in heaven.

I miss her. I love her. And I cherish every single memory of her. Mommy…I hold on to your words and I will forever hold on to Psalm 23. I hope I’m making you proud.
