I’m beyond excited to announce that I’ve committed to University of Arkansas-Fort Smith! @uafswbb

First, I’d like to thank Coach Will @willvlo for believing in me all along, the countless training sessions and advice to help me become a better person and athlete, and changed my life completely. I’d also like to thank @angela.o.wong and uncle Wong for all your support on and off the basketball court, making my journey possible and having someone to rely on. They sacrificed their own holidays and money to support me, and I could never thank them enough. And a huge thank you to the entire @strivegoldteam family, the coaches, teammates and friends! I’m forever grateful for having everyone of you in my life and the joy and influence you’ve brought to my life.

I also want to thank Coach Vinny, Coach Pep, Chrystal, Coach Sipes, Coach Whitfield, Mr Magay, Mr G, Evangeline, Uncle Raymond, Natalie and the Hubley’s, for your love and care, and shaping me into the person I am today. I’m incredibly grateful for the support and advice you’ve given me, and always looking out for me. I couldn’t imagine my journey here without you being along.

Thank you to my parents and my sister, for always being proud of me, believing in me and sending me to the other side of the world to chase my dreams. Thank you for making everything possible.

Last but not least, thank you to Coach McAdams and Coach Hackerott for this amazing opportunity and your trust. I’m beyond excited to begin my journey in UAFS! Go Lions!! #committed by @strivegoldteam

What if changing a young woman’s life starts with just one assist? 🤔

Yesterday, our co-founders @willvlo and @angela.o.wong took that question to the stage at @tedxtinhauwomen in Hong Kong with their talk: Live for the Assist.

They shared how Strive Foundation was founded to use basketball as a vehicle to change lives, telling the story of our first Gold Team trailblazer, @yanniechann , and how sports can unlock opportunities beyond the court! 🫡🫡🫡

You don’t need to transform a life overnight. If everyone spent just 1 hour a month mentoring, sharing their expertise, or opening a door for the younger generation, imagine the collective impact we could create.

Thank you to the @tedxtinhauwomen team and everyone that made this great event possible!💛

Sofie Fella was told her body was too big for ballet. It turned out to be exactly right for rugby, and for Germany’s national team. Angela Wong and William Lo have spent six years teaching Hong Kong girls the same lesson through basketball.

All three speak at TEDxTinHauWomen’s 10th edition on 2 October. Swipe through their stories.

Beyond the Court: Yannie’s Internship Journey with TTI ✨

Our first college graduate Yannie Chan recently completed her very first corporate internship through Techtronic Industries’ (TTI) Youth Development Program.

From becoming the first Hong Kong woman to earn a full NCAA Division I basketball scholarship to completing her MBA on full scholarship, Yannie continues to demonstrate how athletic dedication builds life-changing opportunities beyond the court 🤓

“My internship at TTI showed me how a global company works from the inside... I also got to meet some great people at TTI, it was the best environment to learn❤️.”
