Copenhagen-based artist A.Dixen moves between experimental electronic music and club sounds, drawing on everything from techno and dub to bass-heavy rhythms and analogue experimentation. As a producer, composer and member of electronic trio AV AV AV, his work spans club music, film scores and experimental sound projects. For this year’s Trans Metro Express: Sunset Trip, A.Dixen delivered a lush, dynamic set, moving effortlessly between weighty dub and techno, psychedelic mutations of dubstep and intricate, bass-driven rhythms. With echoes of labels like Livity Sound, Horizontal Ground and Hessle Audio, the set was a journey through the deeper, low swung corners of club music. Recorded live aboard the Copenhagen metro, the full set is now available to listen back to along with a short interview. Read more and listen via the link in bio 🔗 @a.dixen by @strmdk
Thanks to the 3,000 people who came through our installation at @Cisternerne on Friday. At the centre of the project was OCTOBER, an original site-specific sound work by @_fennesz we commissioned for the space and presented publicly for the first time that night. Thanks to everyone who showed up yesterday for our annual flagship event, Strøm: Trans Metro Express 2026. Once again, we are blown away by the positive feedback, big smiles and amazing electronic music inside the running Metro train. First up: Sunrise Journey - As the sun rose and dissolved the morning fog, the train departed from Vestamager while @vio_lino_o (and their dad, by surprise) played an electro-acoustic live set. @lassemartinussen followed with heartfelt lyrics and beats, @martinhasfeldt played soft and sweet trip-hop, and Becca Reyes @saintlarey finished with a melancholic and meditative live performance. It was amazing to see so many early birds joining us for this very special morning ride. The great finale: Sunset Trip  - The stars aligned, and we were taken across borders, to the moon and back, with four outstanding performances. As the trip began, the sky was pink and @dub_across_borders delivered a heavy dubwise session, closely followed by a technical, stomping live set from @a.dixen . Ayla Ondamoon @aylasomljud sent everyone into space with her combination of fat drum’n’bass, pitched up vocal and powerful stage presence. And as the roof almost popped, @anastasia.kristensen took the lead, playing bangers from her new album. Were you there? See if you can spot yourself in these sweaty and sweet moments captured by @flemming.bo.jensen and @anna.borgkvist - also on strm.dk 🔗 Stay tuned for more Strøm events 🔜 by @strmdk

Along with the sound piece DA NIENTE by @sos_gunver_ryberg and Gunner Møller Pedersen @bllbrnd created a mesmerizing pendulum installation taking up the space at B&W Hallerne. Below the ground at @cisternerne @unearth.cph created a bright and heavenly light installation accompanied by a sound piece by Austrian composer @_fennesz Moments beautifully captured by @flemming.bo.jensen by @strmdk

Tonight at Kulturnatten 🗓️Oct 9. 18.00-00.00 📍B&W Hallerne, Refshalevej 177A 🎟️Entry with Kulturpasset Experience DA NIENTE, a landmark work of Danish electronic music by Gunner Møller Pedersen, reinterpreted by award-winning composer and sound artist SØS Gunver Ryberg. A conversation across generations and timelines emerges in this immersive, site-specific installation, staged by Båll & Brand in collaboration with Strøm and The Royal Danish Theatre.
In DA NIENTE (1977), Gunner Møller Pedersen explores feedback sounds and the soundscapes that emerge when a system begins to generate and transform itself, giving rise to something appearing from nothing (‘da niente’).  SØS Gunver Ryberg has made a response and dialogue with Møller Pedersen’s original composition in her signature style, futuristic and existential - with immense respect for the original work:

“I do not view this work as an adaptation in the traditional sense, but rather as an artistic conversation across generations”, SØS Gunver Ryberg says.
“For me, it is about listening deeply to the piece, understanding Gunner Møller Pedersen’s vision, and allowing my own musical expression to offer a contemporary perspective”, she says. 🔉 Composition by SØS Gunver Ryberg & Gunner Møller Pedersen by @strmdk

𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 Xuri and John Cleworth has focused on the square as a place of transit: The sounds of their composition are constantly in motion - never fixed, but organic, alive and moving. You will hear bell-like sounds created with additive synthesis techniques, and live recordings of percussionist Lorenzo Colombo from DKDM’ concert hall. Duration: 25 minutes For an even deeper immersion in the piece, come by for a talk with the artists:

We are back in B&W Hallerne on Kulturnatten 2026. ⚡DA NIENTE ⚡Friday Oct 9 18:00-24:00 ⚡A massive sound and light installation in the vast industrial halls on Refshaleøen Experience DA NIENTE, a landmark work of Danish electronic music by Gunner Møller Pedersen (GMP), revisited and responded to by SØS Gunver Ryberg. A conversation across generations and timelines emerges in this immersive installation, staged by Båll & Brand in collaboration with Strøm and The Royal Danish Theatre. In DA NIENTE (1977), GMP explores feedback sounds and the soundscapes that emerge when a system begins to generate and transform itself, giving rise to something appearing from nothing (‘da niente’). SØS has made a response and dialogue with GMP’s original composition in her signature style - with immense respect for the original work: “I do not view this work as an adaptation in the traditional sense, but rather as an artistic conversation across generations. For me, it is about listening deeply to the piece, understanding GMP’s vision, and allowing my own musical expression to offer a contemporary perspective”, she says. DA NIENTE will be reimagined in a site-specific light & sound production, using the full scope of the colossal halls: The slow movement of massive pendulums, hanging from the 70 m high ceilings, will be traced by lasers, drawing their meditative slo-mo sway in phosphorous materials, turning time into something visible. The pendulum installation is inspired by Léon Foucault’s famous experiment in the Panthéon in 1851, offering visual evidence of the Earth’s rotation. Walk to the centre of the hall & feel how the quadrophonic sound setup turns the subsonic bass into a physical experience. Explore the lights emerging from the secret passages between the hundreds of cargo containers. Watch time glow in the dark. This new production of DA NIENTE is part of Strøm’s project Lydskatten, dedicated to disseminating the history of Danish electronic music. This is the third cooperation in the B&W Halls on @kulturnatten between Båll & Brand, Strøm, Det Kgl. Teater & GMP - and the end of the trilogy, preceded by SOM ILD & VAND and LAMENTATION DE MORUROA. by @strmdk
@unearth.cph and @strmdk present a new spatial installation at @cisternerne featuring an original site-responsive composition by @_fennesz. The Austrian composer and electronic musician’s new sound work, commissioned for the project, will be presented publicly for the first time inside Copenhagen’s former underground drinking-water reservoir. The original composition will play continuously throughout the evening within a spatial installation by @unearth.cph, developed in response to the sound work and architecture of the space. Beneath Søndermarken, Cisternerne spans 4,400m² across three connected chambers. No daylight reaches the space, and its natural reverberation can last up to 17 seconds. Friday 9 October
