I’ve sat for plenty of interviews over the years, but this month’s feature in Stroll Magazine is different. Kurt Peters asked the kind of questions that made me pause, reflect, and share stories I’ve carried quietly for a long time.

Thank you, Kurt, for your curiosity, your care, and for making space for the parts of the journey that don’t usually make it into print. It was an honor to be featured, and I’m so grateful to the entire Stroll team for bringing it to life so beautifully.

If you pick up a copy this month, I hope something in these pages reminds you that your story is worth telling too. Swipe to read ❤️❤️❤️

Mayor Dean J. Trantalis highlighted the upcoming development of The Water District, a massive 220 million waterfront attraction scheduled to break ground and open in late 2028. 🌊

In tandem with these skyline additions, the city is aggressively implementing its Fortify Lauderdale initiative to safeguard local properties from extreme weather events. Major neighborhood infrastructure overhauls are underway in Riverland and Melrose Manors, bringing 21 miles of new drainage pipe, 1,200 drainage structures, and advanced stormwater pump stations. 🏗️

We are proud to see our city move boldly forward by modernizing our shores while actively preparing our neighborhoods for the next century. 🌟
