(His Story)πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡πŸ‘‡

I am a sickle cell Warrior. I am a Believer in Jesus Christ, a Gospel Bearer, married with four children, a girl and three boys. I am adventurous, brave and a man of faith, and traveling is my hobby.

I graduated from the National Open University of Nigeria with a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication. Earlier in my career as a young school leave, I worked as a Bartender with Tracy Hotels Limited, and later as Manager with ANCO & DASO Nig. Limited before I started my own company, Vision Trends Network in 2005 as a Corporate Marketing Communications company. In 2020 my wife and I decided to diversify into other services like Exportation of processed food and Agriculture, then we registered VTN Global Resources Limited.

Earlier in my career I had tried my hands on several stuffs, in my effort to identify what I'm really good at, and where my strength lies. And divinely the Lord led me to what has now made my brand a household name, International Education Consulting, also trading as VTN Study Abroad, Abuja.

Why?

Why did I wake up one morning and decide "Hey Let's host that Thriving Warrior program we've been thinking about?"

Just why? Why did I suddenly dust my abandoned 3 year old draft of The Thriving Warrior planner, which I had ignored the idea of publication for years and suddenly decided to print!

And oh, why? Did I embark on all these at a most turbulent time in my life, too?

Just after the fliers came out, the plans to move to a new house that had been on the back burner for years became a priority!
At the same time, my child and I were ill and I had to do plenty hospital runs.
Plus I had a major fair for Nachalle footwears! Amongst many other things ooo.

I tell you I regretted small. Like who send me this message sef!
Everything that felt it could stress me turned up Gidigba!

And in all that mess, I dressed up nicely daily, and found pockets of time to visit all the haematology/sickle cell clinics in the FCT -

National and Garki Nisa hospital on Tuesdays
Wuse General Hospital on Wednesdays
Cedarcrest on Mondays/Thursdays
Asokoro General on Fridays

Consistently for 4 weeks, I showed up to personally share handbills and invite random warriors to the event.

And at such moment, i was a different person.
I forgot my own many worries and became the many other warriors that have lit a beacon of hope in me at different times.

* I was that lovely Warrior, Amina that I met at Luth Clinic in 1995.
*I was that woman that my doctor brought to my hospital room in Ajah in 2008 to tell me I could live & thrive too.
*I was Ando Ogar and Joy whom I met in 2015 at National hospital with their joyful spirits!
*I was Mallam Shehu, who paved the way and left road maps for all.
*I was Mrs Josephine who painstakingly holds the Beulah cell meeting even with her own challenges
*I was that man Mr Chidi that called me in hospital room " my sister said I should call you , Yes i am SS but I refused to let it hinder the quality of my life early enough."
* I was Tobi, Fadeke,Joju &many others that inspired hope in me at any point in my life.

Hope that yes, you can live beyond the limits.

And one thing I noticed in them all is INTENTIONALITY & a heart of GRATITUDE. taken in Abuja, Nigeria by @strongcellsfoundation
