Leo Armenta didn’t just show up at Frontline OCR. For years, he was a staple on the Endurance podium.

When the race got longer, when the laps started adding up and when simply finishing wasn’t enough, Leo was consistently there. Eventually becoming a Frontline Endurance Champion.

Then in 2024, he decided to try something different.

Special Forces.

Twenty pounds on his back. Frontline’s obstacles in front of him. And one goal that matters more than any finishing time in that division:

Keep the vest.

He did.

There have been plenty of great Endurance athletes at Frontline. There have been plenty willing to step into Special Forces. But very few have been willing to prove themselves in both, and even fewer can say they’ve stood on the Endurance podium and crossed the Special Forces finish line still wearing that vest.

Leo Armenta can, and he’s representing team @we_are_strongasoak no matter which division he’s in.

Different challenges. Different kinds of suffering. Same athlete.

That’s a Frontline legacy worth remembering and we hope to see Leo continue his story on whichever side of the Frontline he chooses.

Only 5 people have been able to do this.

Our endurance event, affectionately known as the Bearded Challenge is 3 laps of our very tough 10k course. It's quite the accomplishment to complete all three laps, regardless of obstacle completion. But to do it while maintaining 100% obstacle completion is a challenge like no other and to date, we've only had five individuals do this.

Tag someone who you think could be next on the list.
