The UnSpoken Truths Workshop powered by StrongHer ToGetHer offers sessions where topics relevant to sexual trauma are being discussed. Here you see our host and founder, @Orealia_Thomas, informing attendees that the individual that the sexual act was performed on is NOT the only person affected with trauma. She goes on to give an example of how others are directly affected. The purpose of the workshops is to get the conversations started and the information flowing in a community and society where sexual trauma is being normalized by silence. Eventually we want our events to be safe spaces while teaching how to create safe spaces for others. Talking is not only healing, in this case the results can be lasting. by @stronghertogether.co
Remembering years ago, spiraling in her emotions, feeling unwanted, and not wanting to live all while carrying out her daily tasks. Today our founder @orealia_thomas hosted a workshop in which she used those same emotions to remind women that they don’t have to suffer in silence. The UnSpoken Truths workshop, one of two initiatives of #StrongHerToGetHer, isn’t just for victims of sexual trauma, it’s for everyone. Whether you’re related to or you know someone suffering, we’re discussing topics related to sexual trauma including ways to indicate when someone is going through sexual trauma, the layers in which families are impacted and healing. #StrongHerToGetHer #SexualTrauma #Healing by @stronghertogether.co
is a healing centered empowerment brand equipping women to reclaim confidence, visibility, and leadership after adversity. After a traumatizing childhood experience and having to learn how to pick my self up, I realized that most cultures do not accommodate conversations informing of the effects, the state of mind or ways to heal. Unknown to many, several women are suffering in silence from sexual trauma. As they’re going through these spiraling moments of feeling alone, not knowing who they can talk to, who will understand or even how anyone can help, I’m here to allow my experience to assist in navigating through that process. #StrongHerToGetHer #Empowerment #MissCrownBay #MissUniverseUSVI by @stronghertogether.co
