Finally made it to this hike 😍 it’s been on my bucket list for awhile. It was such a gorgeous hike and day ✨ ✔️ Good amount of parking on the side of the road✔️ Drop toilets at entrance and near the hike ✔️ Small hiking sign, so it was a good idea to download alltrails offline maps ✔️ It’s a national park so you need to pay or use your America the Beautiful pass. There were envelopes at the entrance to pay the entrance fee✔️ This seemed like a popular hike, so definitely go early if you can. The Mountains CallThe mountains call and I dare not disobey.The trees agree with their gentle sway.You are so far, perhaps beyond my reach.Have you tried flying? Quick I can teach.Climb on high, then take a leap. Let the wind come, let the wind sweep.The whisper gets louder, it’s all I can hear.Quick she says, when will you appear?Then suddenly I fall, fall out of sleep.I hear the alarm, I hear the beep.The mountains still call, so I give it a try.I have other means, even if I can’t fly.Yukiko/雪子To those of you who read my poem all the way through, thank you 💕. 📍 Diamond HeadDiamond head is one of the most visited places to go hiking on Oahu. You can’t do a true sunrise hike there anymore since the earliest you can enter is 0600-For non residents you need a timed entry reservation with or without a car-$5 for entry and $10 for parking -It’ll probably be busier on weekends, but I recommend Saturdays so you can visit the KCC farmer’s market across the street after your hike! 4/25/26***#diamondhead #oahu #hiking #farmersmarket #sunrise by @struggling_humans
