Hi, I’m Danielle — founder of Strut to Success.
And I want to share what we’re really building.

Strut to Success is a Bloomington-based nonprofit supporting middle and high school girls through confidence-building, leadership, and mentorship — starting right inside their schools.

Beginning next month, we’ll be launching Strut Circles in local middle and high schools — a semester-long confidence and leadership series designed to help teen girls strengthen their self-worth, communication, and vision for their future.

From those Strut Circles, we will then invite girls into our signature Black Patent Leather Pump Summer Program — a mentorship experience that ends with a graduation and the symbolic gift of patent leather pumps to honor who they are becoming.

The Galentine’s Day Brunch is our launch fundraiser for this first phase — helping us bring Strut Circles into schools, provide materials, and prepare for our first summer cohort.

When you buy a ticket or become a sponsor, you’re not just coming to brunch — you’re investing in girls, confidence, and the next generation of women in our community.

We’re new. We’re growing. And we’re building something powerful — together.

💕 MENTOR MONDAY | Real Women. Real Impact.

Mentorship isn’t about having a perfect life or having all the answers. Sometimes the greatest impact comes from simply showing up.

Listening without judgment. Sharing what you’ve learned. Celebrating her progress. Correcting her with care. Exposing her to new possibilities. Reminding her who she is when she forgets. 💗

The women who pour into girls today can become the voices they carry with them for years to come.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to be someone she can learn from.

Show up. Pour in. Plant the seed. 🌱

Today is International Day of the Girl.

For 11 days, we’ve celebrated her confidence. Her voice. Her dreams. Her resilience. Her leadership. Her sisterhood. Her future.

Today, we celebrate ALL OF HER.

And at Strut to Success, we especially celebrate Black girls in every shade, with every personality, every story, every dream, and every possibility ahead of them.

We want girls to know their worth, recognize their power, see what is possible for them, build meaningful community, and confidently take up space—even when they are the only Black girl in the room.

Our 11-day campaign may end today, but our investment in girls doesn’t.

💕 Educate her.
👑 Empower her.
🤝🏾 Support her.
📣 Listen to her.
✨ Invest in her.

Day 10 — I Am a Leader 👑

Tomorrow is International Day of the Girl, and today we’re celebrating something we believe deeply at Strut to Success:

Girls aren’t only future leaders. They’re leaders RIGHT NOW.

Leadership can look like speaking up. Helping someone. Starting something. Making a difficult decision. Standing up for what’s right. Being the first to try.

You don’t need a title to lead. 👑

We want girls to learn early that they don’t need permission to contribute to the conversation.

Whether she’s speaking in class, setting a boundary, sharing an idea, advocating for something she believes in, or simply saying, “This is who I am,” her voice deserves space.

They are soft AND strong. Quiet AND powerful. Athletes. Artists. Scholars. Leaders. Creators. Dreamers. Entrepreneurs. Introverts. Innovators.

Our girls deserve the freedom to discover who they are without the world deciding who they’re supposed to be.

Day 6 — I Lift Other Girls Up 👭🏾

Day 6 is about SISTERHOOD. 💕

“I lift other girls up.”

One of the greatest things we can give a girl is community—a place where she doesn’t have to compete to belong.

At Strut to Success, we’re building spaces where Black girls can encourage one another, learn from one another, celebrate each other, and know they don’t have to navigate life alone.

When one girl rises, she can reach back and help another rise with her.

There is enough room for all of us to shine. ✨
