A photograph captures something a photographer saw and wanted to share, but they also freeze a moment in time. 20 years from now when every building is a beige condo or billionaires warehouse, I'll be able to look back a a moment without ai, or ads, at something hand crafted beyond functionality, for the sake of making something beautiful for others to see. by @stryfe_ryder

"A witch ought never to be frightened in the darkest forest, Granny Weatherwax had once told her, because she should be sure in her soul that the most terrifying thing in the forest was her." by @stryfe_ryder

It turns out you can just drive north until you hit snow, but now I need an oil change. This was at 11:15 on 11/15 so it better be good luck. Two more weeks and people will be able to get this view the easy way (with the chair lift) but there's something special about getting it early. taken in White Mountain National Forest by @stryfe_ryder

"Come, little leaves," said the Wind one day, "Come to the meadows with me and play. Put on your dresses of red and gold; for Summer is past, and the days grow cold."

The minute it stops being winter, all I want is for it to be fall again. I really don't need spring and summer. Give me the first morning it is cold enough to see my breath and a coffee from the only shop in some New England town too small for stoplights. #120film #darkslidefilmlab by @stryfe_ryder

Leaving the water drops in because it was an absolute mess of snow and rain and I got soaked for this shot up at the notch. taken in Crawford Notch State Park by @stryfe_ryder

The exposure isn't perfect, but this photo wasn't event meant to exist. I was sacrificing a roll to deal with a jamming shutter mechanism. Somehow, this shot survived. I think that means it deserves to get posted. ⁣

Double exposure ⁣
⁣
I'm going to blame Sarah or Aly for this, but I had double exposure stuck on my mind. I meant to go take some photos in Rockport. I ended up wandering around the park. Isn't that just how life is.⁣
⁣
Wasn't it John Lennon that once said, "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans."⁣
⁣
Getting a double exposure to come out on film is pretty tricky without a light meter, but a few came out. This one is my current fave. ⁣

Happy halloweekend from Salem. ⁣
⁣
It's been energizing and exhausting wandering around soaking up the energy from the crowds here for the last of the Halloween events. ⁣
⁣
Wishing I had more friends in town to celebrate with, but there are perks to riding solo and setting your own pace. ⁣

Ivy League ⁣
⁣
What is it about New England, the look of Boston Ivy creeping up an old stone wall just feels like home. ⁣
⁣
Add in a crisp 50-60 degree day and a travel mug of hot cider and it's easier to lose the light as shorter days turn to longer nights. ⁣

Just a few more pre-tune-up shots. Have about 3 rolls of shots from after the new seals and lens adjustments. Can't wait to get back from LA and see the results. by @stryfe_ryder
