The short documentary "Colère", directed by Stsiapan Hurski, captures the artistic journey of nineteen young dancers from Toulouse and the NRW region who, under the guidance of Anouk Orignac, explored forms of expressing anger through dance and theatre. The film creatively presents this intense creative process and analyzes the deep bonds connecting the young artists. It is a moving portrayal of emotional release, the search for authenticity, and the power of art as a universal language of understanding.

They shape space. They sculpt time. They transform emotion into motion, and movement is their language. Together with young people from different countries, they are building a space where dance becomes more than performance, it becomes transformation. Through weeks of shared work, they will guide our dancers toward something raw, real, and deeply personal.

The result?

‘Ostali' – an original dance theatre piece premiering on the 24th of July in BKC.

Bai Li Wiegmans

Dancer, choreographer, maker from the Netherlands, with a Bachelor’s in Theatre Dance Performance, Contemporary Urban at Fontys Academy of the Arts. For four years, Bai Li has been a part of Ohne Stimme’s artistic team. Having performed and collaborated across the Netherlands, UK, South Korea, and China, while also developing her own work HOME-家 and The Forms that Remain (receiving three awards), she is inspired by bridging her East Asian heritage with Western European upbringing, blending martial arts: Tai Chi, Shaolin Kung Fu, Wing Chun, with contemporary dance.

Bai Li is here because she believes in the power of collective creation and in the importance of cultural exchange. This project offers a space where different perspectives can meet, challenge each other, and grow together.

Stsiapan Hurski

Stsiapan moves between dance and film, searching for cinematic atmospheres on stage. He is a graduate of Folkwang University of the Arts, with four years with Folkwang Tanzstudio. Stsiapan is joining us for the first time this year and he is excited to journey together with young dancers from different countries, searching for answers collectively.

For him, this is not just an artistic process, but a human one: a space where curiosity, courage, and encounter lead somewhere none of us could reach alone. He believes we should embrace our differences, after all, that is where the most interesting things begin.

Dženita Hasečić

With over 15 years in hip-hop culture, Dženita has been devoted to building a strong dance scene in Sarajevo. She co-founded Fresh Generation, building a community where young people get introduced to movement and dance through this culture, art, theatre, and social activism. S by @stsiapan

Deep conversations and trying to lean as far out as possible. Always on the verge. To get stuck, to sink, to be trapped, to run aground over and over again.

Grateful to have been in my hometown and share this experience/experiment of Riconnessioni.

Das neue Trailer für meinen Dokumentarfilm "Colére"

Zwischen Juli 2024 und April 2025 kamen 19 junge Urban-Dancer*innen aus Toulouse und der NRW-Region zusammen, um die Figuren und Darstellungen von Wut durch Tanz und Theater zu hinterfragen. Wie setzt uns Wut in Bewegung? Welche Sprache spricht sie?

Auf der Suche nach Gesten, Stimmen und Rhythmen, die diesem Zustand innewohnen – und ausgehend vom eigenen Bewegungsvokabular der Tänzer*innen – entwickelte Anouk Orignac das Stück „Colère / Wut“, das im Maschinenhaus Essen und im Centre Culturel Henri Desbals in Toulouse aufgeführt wurde.

Dieser Dokumentarfilm von Stsiapan Hurski zeichnet diesen Weg auf kreative Weise nach und beleuchtet die Frage, was diese jungen Menschen miteinander verbindet. by @stsiapan
