Shedding tears here in San Diego for my entire NBCLA family, Eliana, George and the poor victim killed by the falling chopper. Eliana and I spoke hundreds of times over the 450 IFB, and a few times at Forman’s in Toluca Lake after a show. There wasn’t a more kind or talented person in LA and I never saw anyone work harder or grow faster to become a master of their craft. Many families, friends and loved ones are devastated tonight as we pray for them all. by @stuartbell1

Revisiting San Diego as a former Angeleno and current Chicagoan. My weather standards are thoroughly confused. #worktrip taken in San Diego, California by @stuartbell1

Sadened to learn of the passing of acclaimed Director and longtime DGA member Mark Rydell. Mark was so kind and generous when I met him in 2019 at the Motion Picture & Television Fund Retirement Community on Mulholland Drive. He kept saying, "people don't understand, as a director, one film is two years of your life!!!!". Mark began his directing career in television in the 1960s, helming episodes of series including Ben Casey, I Spy, The Fugitive and Gunsmoke, before making his feature directorial debut with The Fox in 1967. Over the decades that followed, he directed an acclaimed body of work that included the features The Reivers, The Cowboys, Cinderella Liberty, The Rose, On Golden Pond, The River and For the Boys. He later returned to television for projects including the movies for television Crime of the Century and James Dean. He was 97. by @stuartbell1

Never forget, ICE lies. They face no consequences, are not required to wear body cams and have repeatedly ignored judicial orders and violated clearly established civil rights. They have no place in a modern, civil society. by @stuartbell1

Sorry to hear of the passing of legendary sitcom director James Burrows. Amanda and I had the pleasure of watching Mr. Burrows direct the reboot of Will & Grace in 2022 and it was a masterclass. Norman Lear even stopped by to watch! Immediately after the taping, as we were taking a walk on the Universal backlot, a giant Mercedes floated past us on James Stewart Ave as the legendary director was already leaving for his Bel-Air home. I cannot imagine 80s and 90s television without his talent. It is also a reminder that incredible talent, fame and fortune are no protection from our inevitable earthly demise. by @stuartbell1

ICE shot two people in Chicago, killed one months ago. Nobody cared. I hope the people are finally waking up with today”s killing, even if it’s too late. by @stuartbell1

Sitting in a stunning cafe on the bank of the River Tiber, founded under the reign of Mussolini in 1938, drinking what the Italians would consider overpriced drinks. The bill was less than 6 Euro, no tip. Starbucks is robbing us. by @stuartbell1

Day 1 in Rome! We dodged a few raindrops to see the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, the Christmas market at Piazza Navona and dove in to some amazing pasta. Still trying to decipher what is a street vs sidewalk. taken in Rome, Italy by @stuartbell1
