hey everyone! in honour of hitting 2k, i thought i’d do a #meetthebookstagrammer post! alsooo this is a book as outfits photo i originally posted to twitter (handle in bio). let’s begin!

questions from @readingwhale

✨☁️✨
how did you find bookstagram?
✨
i started off on booktube, and figured there must be a place on instagram for books. i originally started it just to promote my videos - but it’s become soo much more than that.
✨☁️✨
what are you passionate about other than reading?
✨
ummm this question made me feel the same way as when a teacher asks you to tell the class about your hobbies. ✨what do i actually do with my life?✨ anyway, i love drawing (let’s pretend like i’ve drawn something since june). i also love all the basic stuff like netflix and youtube. to be honest, most of my life is spent trying to do well at school 😅.
✨☁️✨
favourite thing about bookstagram?
✨
sooo many things, but honestly, the people and the sense of community. bookstagram is about so much more than the photos and feeds. i’ve found so many friends, and got so many amazing recommendations that i would never have picked up otherwise. but, most importantly, it’s made me feel like i’m not a weirdo for liking books so much. love you all ❤️
✨☁️✨
what’s a book everyone should read?
✨
this is hARD omg. i shall try to list some in a variety of genres.
- the book thief by markus zusak
- an absolutely remarkable thing by hank green
- the 57 bus by dashka slater
all of these books deeply affected me and i would highly recommend you read them.
✨☁️✨
if stranded on a desert island, what three books would you have with you?
✨
ahhh how do i even answer this?? ok ok i’m going to try *comes back 10 minutes later* right i have made a decision. probably
- the book thief because although i haven’t reread it yet i think it would be a great book to reread.
- call it what you want because it’s my comfort book. i just reread my favourite sections of it when i’m sad.
- the order of the phoenix, because it’s my favourite hp book and is also a mONSTER.
✨☁️✨
that was the longest caption i’ve ever written 😅
✨☁️✨
what are some of your favourite books?
✨☁️✨
i’ll add tags in comments bc character limit😅 by @stuckbookstagram
