Midwifery is more than checklists and scans—it’s about truly seeing and supporting women through every aspect of their journey. My latest piece explores how we can transform antenatal care to be more holistic, empowering, and centered around women’s real needs. Let’s push for a maternity system that values continuity, choice, and compassionate care! 💛✨ @radicalmidwives #MidwiferyMatters #HolisticCare #EmpoweredBirth #AntenatalCare” by @student_midwife_support

As a student midwife you will go through challenging situations, these will be a learning curve and you will sail through it. Not all of your peers, colleagues and people you pass will have the passion you do, this will be of a shock to you but this is the bitter side of midwifery that exists.

Stay strong

Keep afloat

Hold on tight

Hold on to your values

Reflect and learn from your situation

Birth for baby and mother is a huge transition. As midwives and student midwives our role is to make it as easy as possible by equipping mother with knowledge and empowerment. We must remember we are autonomous, we speak up for the women in our care, we empower them to make that informed choice to give the correct consent, not the forced consent. #midwifery #nhsstaff #healthcare #birth #student #hospital #community #informedconsent #uk by @student_midwife_support
