Welcome. 💫I’m Amy Konarzycki (say that three times fast), Principal Designer and Founder of Studio AK.I’m a nature nut (catch me hugging trees on the Bruce trail), a travel lover (it’s a business expense if it’s inspiring me for design projects, right?) and a proud auntie.I founded Studio AK in 2019 with a mission to create homes that are crafted with intention. I’m always thinking about the intersection of good design and well-being—how is this space going to make you feel day to day? Some of my favourite ways to create feel-good spaces are by using natural materials, layering lighting, and always considering comfort and function (along with other designer tricks I have up my sleeve!). Beautiful design is just the beginning—your home also has the potential to feel effortless and completely like you. We pride ourselves on our ability to get to know our clients’ favourite things (like a well-loved travel destination, fashion designer, or a treasured family heirloom), so that every day you walk through your front door, your space feels like the truest reflection of you and what makes you come to life. Did you know ❔If you’re having trouble finding a rug size that works for your room, you can order broadloom in a custom size that fits your space perfectly. There are so many beautiful options, whether you’re looking for thick wool, flat weave, something colourful or textural. The width of these rugs is typically 12’ or 13’ and you can have it made in whatever length you need. It’s also an excellent option if you have something that needs to be cut around like a fireplace hearth. Pair it with a decorative trim or a simple tape binding and you’ve got yourself a bespoke creation that fits your space perfectly. Broadloom is also what is typically used for stair runners.
