Raw Willow is een ontwerpstijl die wordt toegepast op verschillende meubelstukken en woonaccessoires. Het werk combineert biohars met wilgentakken. Beide materialen zijn afkomstig uit biologisch afval, waardoor ze van nature goed samengaan.

Door het materiaal te bewerken en vorm te geven, komen verschillende houtstructuren die verborgen zitten in de wilg naar voren. Dit creëert unieke natuurlijke texturen en patronen, waardoor elk ontwerpstuk volledig uniek is.

EN : Raw Willow is a design style applied to various pieces of furniture and home accessories. The work combines bio resin with willow branches. Both materials originate from biological waste, making them naturally compatible.

By processing and shaping the material, different wood patterns hidden within the willow are revealed. This creates unique natural textures and patterns, ensuring that every design piece is one of a kind.

“𝗢𝘃𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀”

De Ovalis salontafel is gemaakt door biohars te combineren met wilgentakken, wat resulteert in een uniek patroon binnen het ontwerp. Tijdens het bewerken van het materiaal worden tekenachtige patronen zichtbaar die verborgen zitten in de wilg. Deze organische lijnen zorgen voor diepte en een gevoel van beweging in zowel het tafelblad als de poten, waardoor het meubel een opvallende blikvanger is in iedere ruimte.

EN : The Ovalis saloon table is created by combining bio resin with willow branches, resulting in a unique pattern within the design. As the material is processed, drawing-like patterns hidden inside the willow become visible. These organic lines create depth and visual movement in both the tabletop and the legs, making the piece a striking eye-catcher in any space.

‘Raw Willow’
Raw Willow is een nieuwe stijl van meubels en woonobjecten. Door twee biowaste-materialen, takken en bioresin, te combineren ontstaan unieke patronen die de natuur laat zien.

De natuurlijke vormen en nerven van de takken vormen een mooi contrast met de strakke lijnen van de bioresin. De mogelijkheden zijn eindeloos, omdat geen enkel patroon ooit hetzelfde is.

Met Raw Willow wil Jip iets creëren dat een echte eyecatcher is in iedere woonruimte. In een wereld waarin massaproductie steeds meer de norm wordt, Zo ontstaat meer waardering voor natuurlijke materialen, vakmanschap en de schoonheid van imperfectie. by @studio.dwarshuis

A chair made of light.
The clean lines of the lasers form the image of a chair. By adding smoke, the light becomes visible and the object gains a stronger presence in the space. Each pillar is constructed from plexiglass and mirrors, connected through lasers. This creates the illusion of a floating object that seems to appear out of nothing. by @studio.dwarshuis

A lounge chair made from bicycle and car tires, combined with a sturdy wooden frame that holds everything together. Tires are usually recycled into sports fields, tiles, or roofing materials, but why do we see them so rarely in design?

With the Tire Lounge Chair, I give discarded tires a new function and presence. The patterns, profiles, and textures of the rubber are fully brought to life in a functional piece of furniture. by @studio.dwarshuis
