Catching up on @seethelines Best of 2025 series with this gorgeous scene from Ait Benhaddou in Morocco. Alàn does trips there every year. It seemed so intimidating but starting with a large color wash and then dropping in the shadows made it so much easier. This is Chimanji Temple in Kawane honcho. Fujita-san arranged for our whole group to paint at the temple after our farm stay. Such a special spot and my painting doesn’t really convey how gorgeous it was. A beautiful and welcoming place and people. Las Artistas went to San Jose del Cabo for a quick getaway in April. We sketched, hung out by the pool and had some great meals. A nice way to end the season. …And that’s a wrap on our Las Artistas show for the 2025/2026 winter season. The artistas are beginning to fly north for the summer and we have only a couple excursions left before we disperse. Just like the migrating birds, we are all atwitter and saying our goodbyes. How could this be my FIRST Chinese New Year Parade? So colorful and vibrant and joyful! I went with my niece and planned on meeting the @sf_sketchers but ended up separated on the wrong side of Market Street. 😕.
