"The real practice of the artist is a way of being in the world"- Rick Rubin
--A place for intentional creation--

POSTS STORIES REELS

Rick Rubin once said, "The real practice of the artist is a way of being in the world ". I believe there is profound beauty in creating with intention. This word intention has inspired me lately to slow down and grasp onto what truly matters most, which is to live a full and happy life. We all long to exist in the world, and to do that fully, we must surround ourselves with art, beauty, and meaning.

My intention is to create a space for my future self, friends, and new acquaintances to gather and share a passion for the arts, beauty, and intentional living. Life feels more lovely when we fill it with tender moments, soft sights, and meaningful details! Art holds immense power, and I can’t wait to share how I envision what I see as beautiful and essential to living a rich and full life.

I’m currently studying Art and Design at UVU, with a minor in Art History and Marketing. With just one year left of school, I’m focusing on being intentional with what I learn and create, shaping it toward the work I feel called to do. My dream is to design and style homes, spaces that feel deeply loved, safe, and alive with beauty. A home should be more than walls and furniture; it should be a sanctuary. I hope to create that sense of belonging and comfort for those who yearn for it, crafting spaces that nurture both the body and the soul.

In the real world of everything moving so quickly (aka fast food) we have lost appreciation for the art of a beautiful and slow-paced restaurant. Somewhere to gather and sit and chat with loved ones and feel fully within one’s self. @greatwhite exceeded my expectations and brought me to this realization of a need to slow down. With their warm, organic, earthy, and minimalist design I was able to feel present in my meal and with the people I was with. This left me feeling with a strong urge to seek out places with this energy and feel. Who’s with me !!? #restuarantdesign #design #intentionalliving #interiordesign #diningexperience by @studio.kay.design

Coming out of hibernation because of my love for building a moodboard. “The Belle Époque” is the bathroom of my dreams. If you came to me asking for inspiration on a unique new build bathroom that brings warmth, layers, comfort, and whimsical details, this is how I would deliver. I love warm neutral tones with pops of a bold color.
I also love a floor mosaic to bring a lived in look that is just so timeless. And who wouldn’t want butter yellow cabinets!! #bathroominspiration #bathroomdesignideas #adobeexpress #moodboards #intentionaldesign by @studio.kay.design

After a season of soaking in so many sweet moments and figuring out my style in all aspects of life I’m so excited to get back to creating. I graduate Utah Valley University in December with a major in Art and Design and minors in Art History and Marketing !! I have loved my time there, but I can’t wait to experience the design world in full force. I am open for any type of interior design work/assistance. So calling all designers! I’d love to help you build and create beautiful homes. #interiordesign #interiorstyling #homestagingworks #design #stylinginspiration by @studio.kay.design

If you were to ask me what my dream home would look like, this would be it. Here is a look into my Modern English inspired home. I spent 45+ hours creating layouts, sourcing furniture and materials, and creating finalized moodboards to pull this home together. Having the freedom to choose whatever I wanted inspired me so much, and made me excited to keep pursuing my dream of designing people’s forever home! #interiordesign #moodboards #design #homedesign #modernenglish by @studio.kay.design
