Sketch-04-1
A move on from animating a grid of lines by mixing in another shape. Here you see live adaptable controls made using an interactive panel of variable parameters that lets you change an image (or animation) in realtime. It’s great for playing with around and the controls could be endless. It’s giving some sort of Swiss design poster feels.

Created an interactive space for letterforms to be played with –pulsing, wavy, twisted shapes that follow the mouse or touch. I like the way the particles trail off with a glow giving it a softness and texture. Whilst the outline mode feels data or science driven.

The first of some user generated type. Just some refining needed on the interface • default styling getting pushed on mobile looking ugly - see last slide of it in action.

Soon to be opened up for users to try, and to create an interactive typeface made by participants.

An experiment in reduction / Flow fields processed to feel scanned or xerox'd / Accidental textures, intentional structure : :
Using the learning around flow fields to inform experimental drawing. The grain seen here are made by a high particle count and low noise speed.

A trio of sketches formed out of the same
basic code, mainly the use of sine waves or oscillation
in a for loop. I got some unexpected results when I
started to duplicate the circles within the grid, it’s an
interesting line between knowing what you’re doing
and not knowing that makes experimenting way
more fun. Which is your fave?

Another test using Homage to the Square as a starting point for learning how to write collision dynamics using basic shapes. This was fun as I also incorporated an auto-save every few frames so that the output would be a random capture, creating its own homage 'art piece'. Last slide is the original artwork; La Tehuana by Josef Albers, 1951, WikiArt.

A series of sketches based on Josef Albers palette and use of shapes.
[When you start out learning it's sometimes hard to implement the thing you're getting to grips with. As I keep going on this journey of learning code, it's really useful (though daunting) to look at those around who are already creating great things. I looked at @mattdesl_art colour tests and thought 'can I produce this with what I now know?'. The result being this group of computer generated compositions at random] 🩷❤️🧡
