It’s a long time between posting! This year has been pretty lame for creativity, strong for daydreaming, hours spent driving long distances, and it’s been a great year for making strong friendships and just continuing the epic full time mum position. Lots of coffee has been drank regardless so I find this post quite suitable.

Last weekend we went to @nationalarboretumcanberra After Dark! We had the best hot chocolate ever, and roasted marshmallows over a fire! Was great! ❤️ taken in National Arboretum Canberra by @studio.sealegs

POV: your bubble bath isn’t actually a bubble bath… unless there’s a bubble machine working overtime 🫧

Like I don’t want “a few bubbles” — I want chaos.
I want a full foam situation.
I want to disappear into it and come out reborn.

If I’m not questioning where my legs went… did I even relax?

Bubble machine = non-negotiable.

I swear time didn’t move this fast when I was younger.

Somewhere after thirty it feels like life speeds up. Weeks disappear into school schedules, groceries, bedtime routines, and the quiet exhaustion of just keeping everything going.

Sometimes I sit there and realise… the only thing that seems to be happening is that I’m getting older. And it’s a strange feeling.

Because a part of me still wants the same things I used to want. To travel. To create something meaningful. To do something a little bigger than the small daily loop of life.

But now there’s a child to raise.
A school schedule to follow.
Responsibilities that don’t pause just because you still have dreams.

So I wonder sometimes…
Did that version of me quietly expire?

Or is she just waiting somewhere underneath all of this -patient, a little tired, but still alive?

Maybe this is the confusing part of being in your thirties.

You’re grateful. You love your child more than anything. And yet you can’t help but feel the quiet grief of time passing. Not because you regret your life. Just because you’re not sure if you’ll ever get to become everything you once imagined you could be.
