Did someone say vintage tablecloth skirt! 🌸🪻

I have been so busy today piecing together smaller tablecloths and off cuts to create some completely one of a kind skirts! I l love the mix of embroideries and they work so well as a skirt.

I really think a beautiful and comfy skirt is such a staple piece for your wardrobe, perfect for all year round, I’ll be throwing a jumper and boots on with mine now it’s getting colder. With gentle care this skirt will last such a long time, it’s all been French seamed and made using beautiful high quality cotton tablecloths.

As each piece is upcycled from vintage materials, there is truly only one of each piece. But luckily I have ALOT of textiles to play with so I’ll be bringing a number of these with me to @saladdaysmarketlondon but will also have some for a drop at the end of this month!

Things I am bringing to salad days, starting with the skirt edit!!

I am so so so excited for my first market since being back from maternity leave, especially as it’s a @saladdaysmarketlondon Christmas market! I am really busy working on lots of newness to bring with me! I’ll be sharing here what you can expect to find at my stall on both the 24th AND 25th October so keep an eye out over the coming weeks! I’m making so much new to bring so I’ll be sharing as they are ready.

Of course each piece is a one off, but if you can’t make it I will do a big end of October / early November drop on my website too, including what’s left over.

Very exciting, this will be the very first time you can shop the skirts IRL, so i wanted to start there! You can try these on and see them in person, the fabrics are what really make these special so I think you’ll love! Each one is truly unique as they are upcycled from all sorts of textiles, tablecloths, curtains, bed skirts, table runners, etc! Each one is so comfy to wear as they have an elasticated waist, meaning there is plenty of room to stretch, eat and move.

There will be a few co-ord tops to match back, but these are super limited so I recommend shopping early if you are after a set! by @studio.spokes

A little bit of colour inspo based on some of my all time favourite makes!

These spring yellows are so fresh and fun!

Red and whites or creams are always so romantic!

Vintage pinks are some of my personal faves, the soft tones are so beautiful

Cream neutral lace always looks so vintage and rich!

White and blues are a crowd favourite all the time!

I’ve been having so much fun recently mixing up what I’ve been making and the textiles I’ve been using. All of these pieces have been made recently and are available to shop on my website right now!

The skirts are my new faves, made from vintage hankies and vintage lace curtains! They are perfect layering pieces to mix up your outfits as we head in autumn.

There is nothing better than a washing line full of no longer used textiles, waiting for me to transform them!

This tablecloth was sooo beautiful, with lots of cross stitching and crochet details, too pretty to eat off so it was barely used. Now it’s been transformed and upcycled into a one of a kind piece and has found a new home!

More beautiful tablecloths will be uploaded soon ready to be transformed, so keep an eye out if you’ve got your eye on a top or even a co-ord now! by @studio.spokes

Matching shorts are IN!

My main focus right now is newness over here! When Jessica asked if she could have a matching pair of shorts to go with an upcycled tablecloth top I thought this has been on my to do for such a long time, let’s do it! So I made a pattern straight away and got to toiling!

I couldn’t be happier with how they’ve turned out and I will be adding them to the website very soon. In the meantime if you’d like a pair just drop me a message! They are a lovely slightly sporty shape, with a curved hem and a bit longer at the back.

Before you ask, yes I do wish if had them ready for summer just gone, but we’re ready for next summer, and for anyone with some winter sun or a winter holiday! by @studio.spokes

A ‘new’ strawberry top, upcycled from a vintage tablecloth 🍓something that wasn’t being used to a top you can wear every day, and no one else will have the same as you!

This top was sent all the way to Singapore!! It blows my mind that you are from all over the world!

Fruit pieces always my fave, and you’ve been loving the strawberry designs, lots of questions about them and I do have one more strawberry tablecloth available right now! by @studio.spokes

Name a better sight than 3 cross stitch tablecloth tops ready to find their forever home!

One of the most satisfying parts of my days is getting your garments ready to send out. I loveeee to see them folded nicely, wrapped and ready to head out to you! My camera roll is full of folder beautiful garments!

All of these have been transformed from vintage tablecloths into ‘new’ tops to be worn and treasured for years to come! And my website is back open so you can choose a tablecloth and have it transformed just for you!

Each one has carefully been selected, washed, pattern planned and then handmade in the UK by me and my lovely machinist!

Every piece I make starts life as a textile that already exists, no new fabrics here! 💚🤍

My absolute favourite (if you couldn’t tell 😂) is embroidered table linens. There are so many out there, and so much love and attention has gone into each one. A lot of the ones I use have been embroidered by hand!

This one was a hand embroidered tablecloth and now it is a beautiful heirloom top to be treasured and worn for years to come! 💚 by @studio.spokes

Tops I made from your grandmas tablecloths last week 🤍

It was such a good week for custom orders in my studio, these bright embroideries and appliqués are all so beautiful I wanted to keep them all!
