Gianni Versace - Wild Baroque, 1992.

A vintage king-size silk scarf from my archives, featuring an iconic mix of animal skin and baroque motifs.

The same Wild Baroque language appears throughout the Versace universe of the period ; from silk scarves and shirts to cushions and editorial imagery, documented in the Gianni Versace Vanitas archive book.

A perfect example of Gianni’s early ’90s maximalism, where leopard prints, gold ornamentation and bold color became part of the house signature.
