"Migratory Schooling - Education in Wartime" opening at Kabri Gallery

"Migratory Schooling - Education in Wartime" exhibition will be presented at Kabri Gallery following its initial presentation at Musrara Gallery, Jerusalem, in 2024.

The exhibition brings together nine artistic projects that document the alternative learning spaces established for communities evacuated from their homes in southern and northern Israel during the first months of the war. Through photography, video, text, and sound, the works reflect on temporary spaces—from hotel lobbies and shelters to conference halls—as well as on trauma, solidarity, education, and social responsibility.

Curated by: Hagar Raban and Tali Romem
Opening: 23 September 2026
Curators’ Talk: 10 October 2026, 12:00
Closing: 21 November 2026

Participating artists:
Rali and Avner Avrahami, Michal Heiman, Ilya Yefimovich, Rona Yefman, Nurit Yarden, Yaakov Israel, Ron Amir, Ronit Porat, and Kiki Keren-Huss. by @studio.yisrael

Following yesterday's post of my portrait that was made by Nermeen Zebaq during our 4x5 inch workshop, I'm posting the portrait of her that I made during the same workshop. Many thanks Nermeen! by @studio.yisrael

I guess this is "The year of the portrait" as I've been photographed this year more than I've ever been photographed in the past. This is one of my favorite ones, photographed by the amazing Nermeen Zebaq during our 4x5 inch workshop. Many thanks! by @studio.yisrael
