We’ve been busy! So it’s time for a new look into Studio1… 👀

Studio1 is a Micro Arts Precinct, creating space for Independent Dance & Physical Practice.

💥 EXPERIMENTATION | EXCHANGE | COLLABORATION 💥

We deeply understand that artists require space and infrastructure for creation, development, and discovery to push boundaries and find curious new forms, textures and modes of presentation. Studio1 is a workroom where you can open the toolkit and devise your next artistic creation.

Studio1 is a multifunctional space in Meanjin/Brisbane that can be hired and adapted to accomodate a range of events. We are a warehouse-style venue that is incredibly versatile and flexible.

Head to https://studio1.org.au or join or mailing list to keep up to date with our latest WORKROOM PROGRAM Opportunities & Venue Updates. 📩

SCRATCH WRAP-UP✨

🌟What an afternoon featuring works from:

@kels.j.williams + @kerrodbox
@nadia__milford

We were thrilled to bring our community together for SCRATCH, showcasing the work of local artists and sharing their ideas, processes and creative explorations with an amazing audience 💫

From works in progress to new ideas taking shape, SCRATCH created a space to gather, experiment and connect, and we loved seeing the energy in the room!

A huge thank you to the artists, collaborators and everyone who came along to support, watch, listen and be part of the showing 🙌

To more space for artists to take risks, share their work and let the next idea unfold 🌱

EAST COAST EXCHANGE WRAP-UP✨

Across states. Across disciplines. Across practices.

Our East Coast Exchange with @legsonthewall brought artists together to share, listen, move, experiment and exchange ideas, creating space for new connections and possibilities to take shape.

A beautiful meeting of practices, perspectives and people, with Nadia Milford @nadia__milford and Natasha Surgis @natashasturgis at the heart of this exchange.

We’re so excited to continue our partnership with Legs On The Wall and to keep creating opportunities for artists to connect across borders, disciplines and communities.

Here’s to the exchanges that stay with us, and the ones that keep unfolding 🌀
