Two completely immersive and intense, but ridiculously wholesome weeks spent at @andersonranchartscenter ✨ ⛰️

Year one of three as part of their Advanced Mentorship Studies Program in Ceramics, surrounded by an amazing cohort of individuals from across the country, and two fantastic mentors @audrey.an and @shojisatake 💞💞 I’m still processing how beautiful, experimental and productive this time has been and can’t wait to see how this program grows with all of us.

Huge thanks to @betsyalwin and the entire Ranch team for having me, and developing such a strong program.

Lisa, Lisa and I have been cooking up this workshop for quite some time and we’re so incredibly excited to bring it to the New England area. 💎

Please join us this Oct 16-18 for an intensive (either) in-person or virtual workshop of the Magic and Chemistry of In-Glaze Lusters with Lisa Zolandz. In this 2.5 days workshop, Lisa will discuss the chemistry of ancient luster glazes, multiple methods of post fire reduction and how she approaches glaze testing and development.

We’re making it even more accessible for those of us without access to gas/wood kilns, as Lisa will be demonstrating her reduction method in an electric kiln!

I became fascinated with in-glaze lusters during my time at RISD and can attest that this is a process full of unknowns, surprises and delights, twists and turns, and experimentation 🧪 It’s such a treat to be able to learn firsthand from an expert like Lisa!

We are hosting the workshop in Lisa Orr’s gorgeous and brand new studio space in Northborough, MA, serving delicious home cooked lunches for those in person, and offering a virtual session so anyone can tune in and learn from across the globe. 🌎

More details and registration link in my bio and on Lisa Orr’s website. Hope to see you there ! ⚱️ ✨ 🌈 by @studio_apop

This hands-on course introduces students to foundational techniques in ceramic handbuilding, including pinch, coil, slab, and simple bisque mold making. Students can choose to create functional or sculptural forms while learning surface decoration and glazing techniques. Demos will include advanced options for those looking to explore further—such as underglaze monoprinting with newsprint, building up forms with slip, and making custom ceramic press and sprig molds. Whether you're new to clay or returning with fresh ideas, this course encourages craftsmanship, curiosity, and personal expression through the full ceramic process—from wet clay to finished, fired work.

Tracing Time is opening this Thursday, June 18 in Providence 💫 🌸🌺🌼🪸🏛️

✨ ✨✨

Tracing Time proposes that buildings, like bodies, shift through time - absorbing, shedding, and carrying the communities that occupy them. Presented within the historic Stedman & Fuller Manufacturing Company Complex, the exhibition explores how histories persist through memory, material, and place.
Across sculpture, painting, photography, glass, and material-based practices, participating artists examine memory as something physical: held within bodies, embedded within objects, and dispersed throughout the spaces we inhabit.
Through acts of excavation, collection, and layering, the works reveal how experience becomes inscribed within material and architecture.
Fragments, impressions, recordings, and accumulated forms become evidence of lives both present and absent, tracing the movement of memory across body, object, and place. Together, the works ask what remains after change and how traces of former lives
continue to shape the present.

After first exhibiting with us at CODE&CRAFT, we’re delighted to welcome Ana Popescu (@a_pop) back for Cluster Crafts: 10 Years.

Ana’s sculptural ceramic works sit at the intersection of craft, technology, memory, and architecture. Combining 3D scanning and printing with traditional handbuilding techniques and historic lustre glazes, she creates layered forms that feel at once ancient and contemporary, playful and thought-provoking.

Her work explores how objects carry stories, how histories are preserved and transformed, and how material culture shapes the way we understand ourselves and the world around us.

We were captivated by @a_pop’s practice when she joined us for CODE&CRAFT, and it’s a pleasure to share her work again as part of this special anniversary exhibition.

There’s still time to experience her pieces in person and discover the remarkable range of artists featured in the showcase.

📍 @rocalondongallery , designed by @zahahadidarchitects
📅 Open until 17 June
🎟 Free RSVP via link in bio

Selected works are also available to collect through our online shop. by @studio_apop

His arch < MY arch... meant for conviviality and introspection, tinged with an unsettling realness masquerading in an uncanny scale, draped in glittering iridescence… a thing that feels like a hug or a wink ;)

A dismantling of the legacies of conquest and authority attached to ornate and monumental structures. Never forget the highly skilled artisans and craftspeople who spent hundreds of hours chiseling away at every molded acanthus or cartouche.

Long overdue, but apropos timing — photos from our opening reception at OPEN in February. 🌹

Still teeming with energy from this night ✨

We had an incredible opening for our first collaborative installation. We met so many new friends and truly felt the love from the community.

Huge thanks to Ben Sisto of OPEN for having us. What he’s building with the gallery feels so refreshing and pivotal at this moment in the art world.

Big shout out to @michaelrosefineart of @newenglandartnews for collaborating on the reception with Drinks with Artists. We fell in love with PVD for it’s community, and seeing all the connections and crossovers bubbling is truly what makes it all worth it 🫂

And of course, the wonderful @hibarlobar made this freaky Friday the 13th @50simsri , right before Valentine’s Day, extra special 🍹🌹💌
