Studio Ahrt feels like a quiet refuge, gently removed from the rhythm of the city. Hidden along the Lauriergracht, one of Amsterdam’s historic canals in the heart of the Art District, the space unfolds like a private home shaped by light, art, and collected objects. More than a studio or gallery, it is a place to arrive, linger, and immediately feel at ease. taken in Studio Ahrt by @studioahrt

Through layered imagery, @anoukhart explores the space between perception and reality. Multiple layers merge into a single composition, creating images that reveal themselves gradually rather than all at once. What first appears familiar slowly becomes uncertain, inviting a deeper and more attentive way of looking. taken in Studio Ahrt by @studioahrt

A walk through a few pieces from the collection, each with a thought from Anouk on where it came from. Form, texture and shadow, the quiet threads that run through everything in the studio.

Where Time Meets explores how past, present, and future intertwine. A quiet reflection on memory, becoming, and the present moment where all layers of time come together.

Created for an unborn child, Unfolding reflects the quiet emergence of new life, still unknown, yet already whole. Held with tenderness, a new world slowly begins to reveal itself.

This image came to life without a preconceived plan, simply by observing, taking time, and waiting for the right moment. No Photoshop was involved. Everything came together in camera: the position, the light, and the connection between the lines. A visual interplay that runs like a thread throughout my work. taken in Studio Ahrt by @studioahrt

The light in this studio changes throughout the day, moving across the walls and the floor at different hours. It's one of the first things people notice when they walk in, and one of the reasons the space works so well for shoots. by @studioahrt

Last week our studio filled with scent. @maisonfranciskurkdjian, together with @skinsofficial, brought their world into ours for an evening that lingered long after the last note faded. Saffron, peach, and jasmine melt into oud and soft leather, a fragrance that feels as luxurious as velvet itself. taken in Studio Ahrt by @studioahrt

A new week starts the way it always does here: tea, morning light through tall windows, two minds picking up right where they left off. Some of our best ideas happen before the day officially begins. taken in Studio Ahrt by @studioahrt
