Founded by Eric Wilcox, Studio Burran takes its name from Eric’s grandfather, the late architect
James A. Burran, whose mastery of light and space instilled in him a deep appreciation for the way thoughtful design shapes our daily lives.

Prior to founding Studio Burran, Eric served as Director of Global Store Development at Ralph Lauren in New York City, developing private art collections and sourcing vintage and antique interior elements for Michael Smith, Inc. in Los Angeles and most recently evolving the residential interiors studio at Marmol Radziner for nearly a decade. by @studioburran

Designed to support the rhythm of daily life — the kitchen and dining area of our Surf Club project needed to be efficient, adaptable, and visually composed.

Since maintaining an open and airy space was paramount, we used Marcel Breuer’s iconic B32 chairs. The fully upholstered version was the obvious choice for maximal comfort, but as a nod to the original 1928 version and incorporate more texture into the palette, we introduced a handmade caned panel to the backrest.
