So very excited to have my own woodworking studio. I’ve been pretty quiet over here trying to get this thing ready this past month. I guess I thought the 12 hour days were going to feel longer, but when you’re working on your dream it doesn’t really feel that bad. Also, @dylan_p4916 and I keep a mini fridge stocked with Modelo and Busch light, so that helps.

Dylan and I share the studio space and lately have been teaming up on some bigger projects. You can find his work at @greenshedco.

We’ve got a lot of cool projects coming up and I’m so excited for everything. And a big thank you to @jessepaul for capturing this photo of me as we’re still in this beginning phase of setting up shop.

WE DID IT!

@greenshedco and I built the coffee bar for the new @earl.espresso at @thegreenraybooks. Now this is just a little behind the scenes. This isn’t what it looks like anymore. We built the bar and covered it in cement board for @harrykagan to tile over.

Yesterday, Ana walked me through the new space on my way to grab a @beer at @the_villager_tavern and it looks amazing. I’m very very happy to have been a part of this project and I’m really excited for everyone to see what they’ve been up to over there. Their first day open is October 1st and they open at 8am. If you drink coffee you should definitely go. If you don’t, I’m sure they can get you a glass of water or something.

Probably pointing to this to show Jesse how big this gouge is when he came over to the studio a few weeks ago.

These are my tools that I use for turning. Gouges, skews, scrapers. They’re all big, expensive knives. I made this holder for easy access to all my tools while I’m turning, as well as to simply show them off
