One thing that has been driving me crazy is just how cluttered my studio is. I know I need to get rid of things and consolidate however it feels as though every sketch every note every can of paint is more sacred than the next. The next steps to building out this studio are going to require a serious reshuffling. I just don’t know where to start. by @studiodylara

I had allot of fun making this brand. This product is all about the mission and the story. When bringing a new product to market a really solid mission and set of values is important to establish direction. Lucent is a brand that has a purpose. Lucent isn’t for everyone and that’s ok. For the people who do resonate with Lucent’s message they will feel totally at home with everything Lucent stands for and has to offer. Energy drinks were and still are controversial. The added artificial ingredients and the use of harsh stimulants. Lucent would like to change that. New Paradise Products is a concept that encourages people to eat healthy live long and not be afraid of flavor. Each package is an easy-to-use spice blend that can add Mediterranean flavor to any dish effortlessly. The design direction is inspired by colors found in Mediterranean art. The patterns are pulled from North African and Middle Eastern textiles and pottery. Sanctity Coffee Company is a coffee company inspired by west coast biker culture. This coffee shop and roaster is built for speed. With a custom typeface with multi language support the products and marketing assets are ready for international markets or where ever the road takes Sanctity Coffee Company. Based on the typography found on vintage biker jackets Sanctity Regular is a font that bridges black letter with gothic letter forms to create a font that is structurally sound with just a touch or calligraphic flare. The font was designed specifically for the brand to encompass both the word mark and the surrounding graphical elements. The logo mark was inspired by the patches found on biker jackets as well. The skull represents the danger and trill of motorcycle ridding and the wings represent speed and agility. #branding #logo #customfont #typedesign #typegang by @studiodylara

The folks from @wakenaked_music asked me to design an identity for them. Wake Naked is a brand from the Bay Area styling itself after the great rock music of the 1960’s and 70’s. We discussed the creative process, then got to work. We landed on a wordmark that embodies their genre by drawing inspiration from psychedelic rock posters and Art Nouveau typography. We wanted a logo that was scalable, flexible, and unique enough to be memorable. by @studiodylara
