hi friends, it’s been a minute since i’ve last posted on here! to preface, this is sort of an update or maybe an excuse as to why i’ve been so MIA and why i haven’t met my charm deadline of last week 😬

for those of you who are curious, millie is doing well based on the few pounds she has gained. unfortunately, our outdoor cat (junie) stayed behind with my mom in california since she prefers being out in the wild. cats that roam in my neighborhood tend to get picked up by owls and we didn’t want to risk it 💀 it’s been empty without her here so we decided to adopt this kitty that we named penny. she has been such a ball of joy and energy! millie definitely needs more time to adjust to her rough housing, but for the most part she can tolerate her presence.

last but not least, we are expecting a new addition to our family in january of next year! i’m currently in my second trimester which has been heaven compared to the first. though things are better atm, having to sit on the bench for long periods of time take a toll on my wrists due to the changes that my body is going through. i honestly can’t tell you when the shooting star charms will be done, but i plan on releasing them before i get too “bloated.” i think it’ll have to be the last drop of charms for a while until the baby arrives and settles in 💚

it definitely feels like a lot has happened since the beginning of the year, both good and bad. i’m just grateful to have friends on here who have been so supportive through these questionable times. thank you guys 🥰 by @studiofrae

feeling a bit nostalgic this week

one of my all-time favorite movies to watch is the mummy. because brendan fraser and rachel weisz ofc. it was the one film that resonated with me as a child and has kept me excited about exploring new things as i got older. when i saw the scarab charm from @hobiehaus i was shook. it had such a unique look and the best part was that it was well within my budget. Lizzy at hobiehaus was so sweet and the whole unboxing felt like a personal experience with the cat stickers and a bunch of additional treats that i was not expecting. i’m pretty new to the vintage/antique jewelry shopping scene and i find it difficult to trust online sellers completely so thank you so much for the positive experience. the scarab is the first of “the mummy” themed charms that i will be collecting and it will always be a great reminder to keep exploring new adventures 💚
