~ Bold Women Awards ~

To me, being bold means pursuing your dreams wholeheartedly — not because the outcome is guaranteed, but because something in you refuses to settle. It’s choosing the unknown over the comfortable. It’s showing up with faith, with fire, and with vision. That kind of courage is rare and something I truly admire about @nomndeni .

There is such an ease in working with her, a beautiful blend of clarity, grace, and bold conviction. She leads with intention and makes space for others to do the same. It’s a gift to work with women who dream with purpose and build with heart 🤍.

~ An Ode to Tailoring ~

There’s a series of images from the ‘50s and ‘60s captured in Kinshasa by one of my favorite photographers, Jean Depara. These imagine give a glimpse of what life might have been like back then and the vibrant nightlife of Kin. They also remind me of photos of my father when he was younger- when his life moved to a very different beat than the one we grew up knowing (also my Dad seemed to be pretty “vibey” compared to how strict he was with us 😐).

The images also explain why I gravitate towards monochromatic visuals and tones — a consistent reference point...Suits are my first love when styling (both myself and others). I’ve always been drawn to the nod to authority, subtle boldness and the refined structure of tailoring…
Anyway, all this to say, Happy Met Monday!
