Studioli presents Giudizio Universale by Italian artist Marino Melarangelo (Teramo, 1974).

Conceived as a tribute to Studioli’s tenth anniversary, Giudizio Universale brings together a series of ink drawings on paper in which Melarangelo envisions a neo-baroque amusement park of machines, populated by stories and characters that have passed through Studioli’s history over the years.

An eight-meter-long roller coaster winds through the space, functioning simultaneously as a narrative device and as the project’s architectural backbone.

For Divine Stage at Studioli La Ripa, Valerie Giampietro and Alessandro Cicoria pay tribute to the space through a series of works conceived in response to its context.

Valerie Giampietro projects a series of photographs in the farmhouse stable from her ongoing series on her mother’s origami. Photographed in the spaces of Studioli, the small objects play with light, color, and surfaces.

Prequel is a group exhibition bringing together works made by the parents of artists and friends of Studioli.

Drawings, images, sculptures, poems, sounds, films, objects, and paintings, a body of works that forms an affective and generational archive.
The grown children are not exhibiting; they are the threadcommon. The exhibition precedes them: it is a collection of works reflecting the genealogy of a generation. A generation of artists, designers, poets, filmmakers, and more, both protagonists and witnesses to the cultural landscape of the past fifty years.

Studioli presents the group show Prequel at Supernova, bringing together images, sounds, drawings, sculptures, films, design objects, and paintings made by the parents of artists and friends of Studioli.
Moving between historically established works and informal practices, Prequel challenges the idea of a singular, generational authorship.
At a time when works are constantly revisited, reinterpreted, and reframed, the exhibition reflects on origins as an open, shared field and on whether it is even possible to trace a stable genealogy.

Giudizio Universale brings together a series of ink drawings on paper in which Melarangelo envisions a neo-baroque amusement park of machines, populated by stories and characters that have passed through Studioli’s history over the years.

An eight-meter-long roller coaster winds through the space, functioning simultaneously as a narrative device and as the project’s architectural backbone.

Melarangelo’s imaginary draws on the history of classical Italian art: from Scamozzi, Piranesi, and the architects of the seventeenth century to Giulio Romano and the Galli da Bibbiena, up to the visionary spaces of La Scarzuola; from the literary excess of Tommaso Landolfi to the grotesque and carnivalesque worlds of James Ensor. Baroque festivities, ephemeral architectures, and celebratory machines re-emerge as tools for constructing unstable spaces of illusion and pleasure.
