- Furniture shapes the way we meet -

It’s amazing how much the layout of a meeting room can influence what actually happens in it.

A more relaxed layout makes it easier for people to chat, collaborate and bounce ideas around.

A boardroom setup feels more formal, ideal for decisions, presentations and getting down to business.

Then there’s the classroom setup, with desks facing forwards. Perfect for training, learning and sharing information.

Essentially, it’s the same room with 3 very different purposes.

☀️ As our summers become warmer, outdoor space is becoming one of the most valuable assets a building can offer, for both residential developments and workplaces. ☀️

This client wanted a space with a neutral, earthy palette that would sit comfortably within its green suburban setting. The design also provides an opportunity for staff to engage with the space through a planting society, encouraging the cultivation of herbs, flowers and seasonal planting that can be enjoyed throughout the year.

The result is a thoughtfully designed roof terrace that supports wellbeing, providing a place to relax, meet informally, reconnect with nature and enjoy the benefits of being outdoors.

As demand for high quality outdoor environments continues to grow, spaces like these are no longer considered an added luxury. They are becoming an essential part of creating places where people want to live and work.🌿

- Acoustics -

A hot topic in the workplace and vital to creating inclusive design, acoustics can be considered in more areas than you may initially think. Here are some examples of how you can help reduce sound reverberation without compromising on design.

With Wimbledon starting today, I couldn’t resist pulling together a couple of tennis inspired moodboards 🎾

𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 is a fresh, bright and relaxed space. 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 incorporates rich woods, deep greens and classic sporting details.

Which team do you side with? 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 or 𝗩𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗲?👇

- New Project -

Our client wanted to attract a new generation of tenants by creating a welcoming and contemporary environment. The project included a redesigned reception area, a medical demo space with customer lounge, training rooms, co-working spaces, and state-of-the-art laboratories.

The result is a modern workspace designed to inspire collaboration, innovation, and attract new tenants to this out-of-city location.

- Clerkenwell Design Week 2026 -

Spent yesterday at Clerkenwell Design Week soaking up inspiration from some of the best new furniture, finishes and materials in the industry.

Loved seeing the level of detail, creativity and thought behind so many of the pieces on show!

- Site Visits -

A site visit helps interior designers understand the space, light, and flow in a way no floor plan can. It’s where we take key measurements, notice the small details, and find inspiration from the space itself. The best interiors come from truly understanding how a space should feel and function.

- Juxtapositions -

We’ve been working on a wellness project recently where the client has requested a reception space that has clean lines whilst also incorporating soft curves.

This is all about balance and harmony.

The straight lines of this sketch found in the ceiling design, and vertical wall panelling reflect the linear windows of the existing building. We have added in arches, an organic shaped reception desk, cylindrical can lights and curved edges on the sofa. These contrasting elements tied in with a muted, earthy palette, balance the space and create a calming, harmonious reception area the client wanted for the their welcome space.

Reception spaces are no longer just somewhere you pass through. They shape first impressions and now double as places to meet, work and connect throughout the day.

For this project, we softened the cool, industrial park setting with warm walnut tones, layered textures and a variety of patterns, creating a space that feels welcoming, considered and easy to use.

These examples of a residential project we are working on show how lighting can completely transform a space. The same room shifts from bright and neutral to warm and inviting with just a change in lighting. Getting the lux levels right isn’t just technical, it shapes the entire mood and experience💡

A bit of 70s nostalgia, reimagined for a workspace.

Inspired by vintage lifestyle imagery and retro interior details such as the teal finishes, deep reds and brass accents.
