Studio // About Us

The word ‘Studio’ suggests multiple people. Our Studio is in fact not just a one women show.

The studio is an organically growing multidisciplinary team consisting of architects, designers, visual artists, and historians.

We’re working on capturing the best angles of some of our new team members and will be slowly introducing them to you!

Monaco // Whats in a name?

Founded by Giovanna Monaco, Studio Monaco was established in 2021. After an almost decade long career in corporate architecture, the studio was developed with the intent of fusing art and meaning back into architecture as a response to what was lacking in the city.

Side note:

Growing up in school kids would always ask if I was related to Tony Monaco (the DJ on Z103)… I am not. I wished so much that they could ask if I was related to the Princess Grace of Monaco! But a girl can dream. 👑

Some details you see. Some you feel.

Our natural caning web is part of the EVVIVA curated collection, and it's one of our favourite ways to bring texture into a space without adding noise. Here, it sits inside a warm white matte frame, finished with a top in our Jatoba colour and brass knobs, right next to a full-height storage wall in the same Jatoba finish.

Natural material on the outside. Precise engineering behind it: clean reveals, tight frame lines, and doors that close the same way on day one as on day one thousand.

When a unique finish meets our engineering, the result speaks for itself.

Our caning web comes in 4 colours. Swipe to see the weave up close.

Here’s proof that design isn’t as easy as asking chatGPT. It’s a love for design and the process. It takes time and dedication from your team. And a trusting relationship with your clients.
