You ever forget you're actually good at what you do, just because you've been going so long?

That's what happened to me. After a decade-plus of head-down grinding, imposter syndrome crept in. So I sat down one day to organize my portfolio — and it hit me: wow, I'm actually really good at this. I actually love this.

Here's the thing this industry doesn't tell you: it'll take the fun out of your dream if you let it.

And I almost did. But then I started building my own path — my own systems, my own experiences — and I couldn't stop. When I finally paused to look, I saw it: the same sparkle I had 15 years ago, the one that started all of this.

I saw Studio Oera aka Our era, redefined as art.

Same heart and same girl who coded Myspace layouts on a Windows XP with a free trial of Internet because she had more vision than budget. I asked Jeeves how to code, not Google — I had nothing but heart and soul to give haha. I was never scared to step outside the box, to scribble, to make something just because it felt right to me, not what was "trending". We were artists in our own right.

So let me reintroduce myself: no doubt, no shrinking, no waiting for permission. Hi! I'm Ella and I design stuff that makes people ask questions, marketing that actually moves, and the behind-the-scenes support to make brands and creators keep their spark.

To everyone here since the Reignland, and Origin Haus days — thank you. You didn't just watch me build. You watched me become.

When everything is “ASAP,” nothing is truly prioritized especially the mental well-being of your team.

Your team members are contractors meaning their days are already filled most of the time, so your asap for them could mean being late on other tasks for other clients, working longer hours, and them quietly absorbing the cost of a timeline that was never realistic to begin with.

Quality over quantity. Give them room to breathe. Build your own personal systems. It will always be worth it.

Sis, please.

Exposure won’t pay my rent, cover my groceries, or fuel my caffeine addiction. I need coins, not clout.

And here’s the kicker: they’re usually asking for top-tier work—the kind that requires late nights, creative magic, and a sprinkle of professional genius. But apparently, that’s worth nothing more than a shoutout? Make it make sense.

Here’s the truth: Your skills are valuable. Your time is valuable. YOU are valuable. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

✨ Want exposure? Buy an ad.
✨ Need expertise? Run me my money.

This is your reminder: It’s okay to say no to “opportunities” that don’t respect your worth. Stay confident, set boundaries, and always charge your worth.

If you’re trying to speak to everyone, you’re speaking to no one. 🙃

And here’s why: your audience wants to know who you are and who you’re for.

They’re scrolling through their feed thinking, “Is this for me?”—and if it’s not immediately obvious, they’re moving on.

That’s why clarity is everything. 💡 Be clear about what you do, who you serve, and the values you stand for. Don’t shy away from showing your expertise—or your personality! And yes, your visuals matter too (your aesthetic speaks before your captions do, trust me).
