It's been a while since I introduced myself on here and whilst things have certainly changed personally with the arrival of my beautiful little girl, Aria, it's been lovely to continue to work and stay creative with a handful of weddings this year. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As I continue to enjoy the last few months of my maternity and prepare to jump back into a busy 2024 wedding season, let me take you back to where it all began. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm Hannah — Founder & Creative Director behind Studio Porter. My business originated back in 2020 from a love of planning, creativity and bringing people together. I’m a creator, maker, storyteller and coordinator who specialises in design-led, purpose-filled occasions where considered planning and innovative design is always at the forefront. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ It was important for me to build a brand and business that represents artistic, modern couples searching for an intuitive planning, yet equally thought-provoking design process. The Studio's work is inspired by art, interiors, architecture, fashion and personal stories. I’m drawn to contrasting muted tones and refined details that, when brought together, offer a truly authentic and cohesive design full of emotive flare. A rare glimpse into Studio Porter’s design process for JiaoJiao & Fredrik’s wedding at The Ned, showing design vs final outcome. Design is as much about the process as it is the final result. Every celebration begins with an incredibly detailed visual design guide. From the overall creative direction and spatial experience to florals, furniture, lighting, stationery and the smallest styling details, every element is considered in relation to the next. The setting for JiaoJiao & Fredrik’s dinner was held in The Ned’s Saloon. An intimate space for an intimate guest list. A relaxed, low key and restaurant-style tablescape design complimented the couple’s love for cosy dinners and private dining with friends. A concept that focused primarily on good food, fine wine and artistic florals. Nothing too complicated or over the top. For this couple, simple and paired back felt better and more aligned with what they wanted to achieve for their wedding breakfast. Day Two ~ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Erica & Rajdeep’s second day of celebrations began with a relaxed portrait session before welcoming their guests to Hedsor House. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Bathed in glorious sunshine, everyone gathered for an outdoor drinks reception overlooking Hedsor’s spectacular gardens. A live string quartet created a beautiful ambience before the excitement built with the arrival of traditional Dhol drummers, who led Erica and Rajdeep down the grand staircase for their unforgettable entrance. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Guests also enjoyed bespoke hand-drawn portraits by a live artist — a thoughtful keepsake from a truly special day. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As evening fell, everyone came together for a beautiful three-course dinner, with tables dressed in fragrant jasmine garlands, intricate centrepieces and bespoke tasseled menus.
