Me: Three words that describe you…

Richie: Bold. Dangerous. Boyfriend material.

Me: You turned this into 2 truths and a lie! Can anyone identify the lie? 🤭

Me: What’s your favorite part about Studio PRK?

Richie: The variety. Every day is different. One day we’re transforming the studio for a family session, the next it’s a branding shoot, a fashion campaign, or a fully customized production. Watching people bring their ideas to life never gets old.

Me: What’s your dream shoot?

Richie: A full cinematic production. Custom built sets, dramatic lighting, fog, a full crew… the kind of shoot that makes people ask, “Wait… this was all created here?”

Me: Something you could nerd out over…

Richie: Tennis and cars.

This marks one off of my bucket list photoshoots: Shooting my favorite car of all time in its natural state as a rally car.

The Lancer Evolution IX is already a very rare car to find these days, let alone a rally car version of it. When @tmsrally asked if I could shoot his car at the @hrd_prkd cyclorama, it was an opportunity that I definitely could not pass up. His rally car build is an absolute riot and I am very honored that he asked me to be the photographer for this very special session.

I have also been a huge fan of the Evo IX rally car so I was pretty star struck to see one right in front of me. I literally have an @autoartmodels_official model of the WRC version of this car as well as a brochure of the Evo IX that I picked up at a Mitsubishi dealership back in 2006.

The 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX is and will always be my favorite car of all time. It is the car that I fell in love with when I first started getting into cars and car culture. The way it looks and the sounds it makes are timeless and unforgettable. Its characteristics and pedigree in the motorsports world is actually what inspired me to pick up the GR Corolla, which I consider more of a modern take of the Evo. Ironically, my very first car ever is a red 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer ES and I thought that was already a cool car. So when I discovered and learned about the Evo, you couldn’t imagine how stoked I was. I really wanted to buy one, but until this very day, I never had the opportunity to own one. Suffice it to say, this car is my Eleanor and I am still hoping to one day pick one up.
