A personal project we’ve been quietly working on in Bayside has now progressed through to council advertising.

The idea was to create two homes that feel connected, while still giving each one its own space and character.

Being close to the beach, we wanted the design to feel relaxed and simple, with light colours, natural timber, plenty of greenery and lots of natural light.

It’s great to see the project continuing to move forward, and we’re now getting close to the building permit stage. Looking forward to sharing more as it progresses.

Putting the finishing touches on this Yarrawonga home we’ve been quietly working on for a while now. Construction drawings are now complete, with the build planned for 2026.

A simple, calm façade with soft curves, stone, timber and a muted palette — aiming for something timeless and effortless. Looking forward to seeing it take shape in the next stage. by @studiospaceprojects

We're excited to share thatĀ Building Permit has officially been approved, both pools has been installed, and the slab is now being prepared for this Sandringham dual occupancy.

Seeing months of design, collaboration and refinement transition into construction is always one of the most rewarding parts of the process. Every line, curve and detail that was carefully considered is now beginning to come to life.

Designed with a modern Mediterranean influence, each residence has its own identity while remaining connected through a shared architectural language. Soft sculptural forms, warm natural materials and light-filled spaces combine to create homes that feel both timeless and contemporary.

It's incredibly satisfying to watch this project move beyond renders and into reality, and we're looking forward to sharing each stage of the journey as it unfolds.

Next up:Ā Slab pour.

ā€œFlorin, do your thing.ā€

That kind of trust means a lot to me.

Walking distance from Altona Beach, this project was an opportunity to explore just how much a block under 300m² could offer. A small footprint, with room to do something special.

I enjoy pushing the design aesthetically while keeping it grounded in standard construction methods. Exploring what’s possible through thoughtful use of space, proportion and materials.

Design approved at the first revision, and now we’re preparing for town planning submission.

To my clients, thank you for trusting me to explore the potential of your future home. Proud of what we’ve arrived at together. šŸ¤ by @studiospaceprojects

They say the kitchen is the heart of the home, and it’s probably true.

It’s where mornings start, conversations happen, people gather, and everyday life tends to unfold.

Different homes, different styles, different ways of living but the kitchen always seems to be the space that brings it all together.

A few favourites.

A project like this is always a special one.

When the brief is essentially, ā€œFlorin, do what you do best and wow meā€, there’s definitely a little pressure — but even more trust.

Safe to say, we hit the nail on the head with this one. The clients absolutely love the design, and for us, that’s the best result we could ask for.

Designed for its beautiful Victorian High Country setting, the home brings together strong gable forms, natural stone, dark cladding and large areas of glazing, with the spaces opening toward the landscaping, courtyards and pool.

We’re always grateful when clients give us the freedom to explore an idea and trust us to bring their vision to life.

A big thank you to Crown Construction for the opportunity and for trusting StudioSpace Projects with the design. We’ve loved working on this one and can’t wait to see it come to life.

A quiet facade moment.
Soft light, simple forms, and a front elevation designed to feel settled rather than showy.

There’s a quiet ease to this kitchen — warm timber, soft curves, and light that settles in naturally.

With views toward Arthurs Seat, we kept things simple and true to the brief… and it really came together just the way it needed to. by @studiospaceprojects

Some spaces just have a certain feeling the moment you see them.
The warmth of the timber, the softness of the stone, the way the light settles naturally into every corner — it all comes together to create a sense of calm.

I love designs like this because they remind me why I enjoy what I do: creating spaces that feel welcoming, balanced, and effortless.

Slow living, soft light.
A subtle animation of one of my favourite kitchens — no changes, just movement.
Shadows drifting, daylight breathing, materials glowing exactly as they are.
Calm, minimal, intentional.

A recent kitchen design we’ve been finishing up — calm lines, soft curvature, warm timber and a skylight that lifts the whole space. A simple palette, layered textures, and plenty of natural light doing the heavy lifting.

Enjoying how this one came together.
