Before any paint touches the surface:

1. I choose every material myself.
Wood, canvas, tension — nothing random.

2. No pre-gesso.
I need a surface that feels natural, not artificial.

3. This is part of the process.
It slows me down and puts me in the right headspace. by @studiotatlici

My latest Commission

„In memory of her“

140 x 110cm

During my last commission, my client and I first talked about his vision for the piece. With his ideas in mind, I created several color studies, which we then reviewed together before I moved on to the large canvas.

Once the painting was finished, I invited him to see it in person before making his final decision. He loved it.

As we talked, he shared a story that moved me — his beloved grandmother had passed away last year, and he wanted to invest part of his inheritance in a piece of art, believing it would have made her happy.

At the time, the painting had no name. On the day I shipped it, the title came to me: In Memory of Her
