Vincent Marx ist Damenmaßschneider und kreativer Gestalter aus Essen, seit sieben Jahren Münchner und seit kurzem Dreimühlenviertler. Nach Jahren in Modeagenturen und der Arbeit als Maßkonfektionär öffnet er jetzt die Türen zu seinem eigenen Atelier »Studio Vincent Marx«. Hier macht er traditionelles Handwerk zukunftsfähig: mit individuellen Auftragsarbeiten, eigenen Kreationen und klassischen Änderungs- und Upcycling-Projekten. Vincent Marx is a women’s tailor and creative designer from Essen, a resident of Munich for seven years and recently of the Dreimühlenviertel region. After years in fashion agencies and working as a bespoke tailor, he is now opening the doors to his own studio, „Studio Vincent Marx.“ Here, he is making traditional craftsmanship sustainable: with custom-made pieces, his own creations, and classic alterations and upcycling projects. Eine Sterneköchin sucht einen Schneider in München. @rosina.ostler hat auf Instagram gefragt, ich habe mich gemeldet, und wir haben uns bei ihr im Alois getroffen. Ihre Idee: etwas aus klassischen Küchenhandtüchern. Weil ich am liebsten Jacken mache, habe ich ihr eine Jacke vorgeschlagen. Die Tücher waren zu schmal für das Rückteil. Also habe ich sie Karo für Karo zusammengesetzt, damit das Muster über jede Naht weiterläuft, bis in die Tasche. So läuft es bei mir fast immer ab: Du erzählst deine Idee, wir überlegen gemeinsam, ich nehme Maß, und am Ende gibt es das Stück genau einmal.  A Michelin-starred chef looking for a tailor in Munich. @rosina.ostler asked on Instagram, I got in touch, and we met at her restaurant, Alois. Her idea: something made from classic kitchen towels. Jackets are my favourite thing to make, so I suggested a jacket. The towels were too narrow for the back panel, so I pieced them together check by check – the pattern runs across every seam, right into the pocket. That’s how most projects start with me: you bring an idea, we figure it out together, I take your measurements, and you end up with a piece that exists only once.
